JEDI KNIGHTS

the concept of jedi knights was one of very few ideas to survive every lucas story revision.originally called jedi-bendu warriors(aka dai nogas in the first draft),the jedi were hunted down by the knights of the sith (formerly known as the legions of lettow).in lucas` early draft the jedi knights let out an ear piercing scream just before they attacked.this idea survived in the call that heralds the arrival of obi wan.


THE FORCE
-------------------

in early drafts,the force was called the force of others,and was divided into the good side(ashla)and the dark side (bogan) before lucas simplified it into a unified energy.initially,both sides of the force were amplified by a small diamond like gem called the kiber crystal.the phrase "may the force be with you" as uttered by ben,didnt appear until the third draft.


THE 33rd CENTURY
-----------------------------

star wars was originally set in a specific time zone.it wasnt until the fourth draft screenplay that the more fairy tale like "a long,long time ago in a galaxy far,far away an incredible adventure took place..." appeared.this later became "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away..."
