10. Darth Maul makes a whole in Qui-Gon Jinn- We knew he was gonna die, but we got attached to him anyways and what does GL do, he has Darth Maul stick a twin blade lightsaber through his gut! Liam Neeson was awesome!
9. Mace Windu tells Jango Fett to keep his head up- This is why I really like Mace Windu. He takes on someone who fought Obi-wan Kenobi to a draw and in a manner of 5 seconds, blocks a few shots and takes his head off(granted his jetback was busted). Jango turned into a really good character and made the EU far more interesting and he had a great end!
8. Darth Vader takes a killing shot and Obi-wan Kenobi disappears- Basically, its the first movie out and this great character dies half way through the movie only to vanish when Vader tries to slice him in half and yet we still hear his voice!
7. Obi-wan Kenobi slices Darth Maul in half- True, it sucked to see Maul go, but what a way to go. One of the most gruesome displays of what a lightsaber can do!
6. Yuuzhan Vong bring Serpindal on Chewbacca- It was sad, but it was the only way that Chewie could be taken down. It was a man, it was a moon!!!
5. Noghri suprise Grand Admiral Thrawn- I wanted him to lose so bad, but he was still a very likable character that when it happened it still kinda of shocked you and upset you. Great way to end a character was artistically built!
4. Yoda goes out in style- Leave it to Yoda to basically choose when he dies and goes out the best way possible. In his sleep and on his own terms and still manages to take his clothes with him.
3. 10,000 Yuuzhan Vong vs. The Ganner- We don't actually see a killing blow, but Ganner becomes the force and takes on all comers as he sacrifices himself for the greater good(see other blog)
2. Darth Vader sends the Emperor with frequent flier miles- Shocking, first time I saw this I had no idea how they were gonna end it. Didn't see it coming, nor did I see the force lightning either which was awesome! To watch Vader's internal struggle and see that after 20+ years he finally did it the Jedi Way.
1. Anakin Skywalker takes a little of the top of Darth Tyrannus- I'll admit that Dooku being one of my favorite characters is the reason I chose this as number one. I also chose it because of Dooku's look right before Anakin does it. He glances at the Emperor and realizes that he has been played like a fiddle. A former Jedi Master, taken sway by his arrogance realizes only a little to late what happens when you walk the dark side and see's that he is nothing more than a pawn!
