What if Qui-Gon......
What if Qui-Gon wasn't killed. How would that alter the star wars saga as we know it. Obi-Wan, being like a brother, to Anakin trained him, but if Qui-Gon had lived he would have trained Anakin. Qui-Gon (I thought) was the best father figure Anakin had before he met Obi-Wan. It ends up they were more like brothers which suggests that when Anakin was appointed to the council he considered himself an equal to Obi-Wan. Had Qui-Gon lived would Anakin, higher rank or not, respect his wishes more so than Obi-Wan. An example being when he went to Tatooine to find his mother, which contributed greatly to his turning to the dark side. He also had an understanding of Anakin in which Qui-Gon himself was angered with the council at times. Being able to relate could have created a stronger bond. Even if none of this helped and Anakin turned to the dark side anyway the story would change. Qui-Gon, instead of Obi-Wan, would face Anakin. Qui-Gon isn't as good a swordsman as Anakin. That's just a fact. So Anakin would have won the Mustafar battle, and wouldn't be confined to the suit which would make him an even more powerful sithlord. Qui-Gon wouldn't have learned his ability to immortality either. Luke wouldn't learn his training because Obi-Wan wouldn't convince Yoda to train him. The Empire would have ruled the galaxy. The dark side would have won the entire saga all because of Qui-Gon.

Since we're on the subject
why wasn't Qui-Gon with the 3 spirits at the end of Jedi?
