Spring Break - Part II
Hello one and all, Ecabob here, ready to share the rest of my trip with you guys. Originally, I wanted to stretch this into three blogs, but, due to me having too fun a time on this trip, I could only make two. ;) So, anyways, lets get on to the blog!

Now where were we last? Oh yeah, we had just left Whistler en route to San Francisco. How we got there, you ask? We took an overnight train. It was only our second time on an overnight train, and we were just as excited as we were the first time. From the time we got on to the time we set foot in San Francisco, it was one magnificent trip. While I won't get into details, as we have plenty more to cover, I will definitely say that it was better than our first trip.

We arrived in San Francisco on Thursday, and, after putting everything away in our hotel room, went strait to exploring. The first place we (as in my parents and me, but not my brother) wanted to go to was the Muir Woods, one of the few remaining redwood forests on the planet. There we spent quite a long time gazing at the amazingly tall trees, as well as the wildlife (such as the squirrel hanging out near the snack bar ;) ). After that, we went to check out the Golden Gate Bridge. After taking in the amazing sight, we hopped a fairy back to our hotel, and grabbed a quick dinner before heading to bed.

On Good Friday, we took one of the famous San Francisco Cable Cars, and explored the town. We stopped and had lunch after a good long ride. After we had all had our fill of food, we decided to check out The Zeum, an interactive museum full of cool gadgets to play with. Inside the Zeum, my brother and I went to play with a greenscreen, while my parents signed us up on the waiting list for the clay-mation. Once we were done toying with that the greenscreen, we went over to the 3-D animation station while my brother went to the 2-D animation station. At my station, there was a huge box of LEGOs, and a camera which would play a collection of still pictures in a movie. As you could imagine, I had a ball with this, and went right to work making two imaginary predatory animals. Once I was done building, I make an amateur 15-second movie of the bigger animal chasing to smaller one. By the time I was done with that, it was our turn for the clay-mation station. With a little help from my dad, I made a clay dog-handler, while my mom made a dog complete with collar and my brother made our dog, Copper. Once we had made them, they allowed us to make a short video with them. After some hard thinking and positioning, we managed to whip together a cute, funny 30-second clip.

We finished up our great trip with a few great ice cream sundaes, compliments to the Gheridelli Chocolate factory. With these delicious sugary treats, we ended our exploring, and headed back to our hotel, and prepared for our flight back home.

I'm afraid that's it for my break, I hope you enjoyed hearing about it. Of course, this means that soon school will be back and that my blogs will be less frequent, but, with the worst of the school year behind me, I should still get a blog or two up every once in a while.

MTFBWUA . . .

and Happy Easter!

That's a really cool trip! Put your clip onto fan films, that would be awesome! I would love to see it.

Did you see the Lucasfilm complex while you were in San Francisco? I would love to see that someday, not just in the May 2005 issue of Wired magazine. I have it somewhere, just not on my bookshelf (of which I have 69 SW fiction books and 30 total Game (15) and Story (15) Episode I adventure books).

MTFBWY!

Happy Easter!
