My favorite scene in all of the films, Vader's Redemption is what the films are all about. It is what the Prequel Trilogy and Original Trilogy lead up to. Will Darth Vader come back to the Light?
He was the Emperor's slave, and the Dark Side's slave for many years. He was perhaps as far gone from the light as anyone (except the Emperor) could be. Yet he came back. He saved his son and overthrew evil, bringing balance to the Force. He also sacrificed his life in doing this noble act.
So what is the message in all of his? Simply this: No one is so evil that they cannot repent and be redeemed. Perhaps this holds special meaning for me as a Christian, no matter how much you are a sinner, you can always be redeemed. Perhaps that is why I love Staw Wars so much, because of the message in it.
