I just had to share this with you . . . (it probably will be my shortest blog ever!

Well, we'll see once we get to the end.

)
Last night, I accompanied my husband to a holiday soiree at our city's beautiful art museum. He was invited. I went as his better half!
The museum was closed with the exception of the special exhibit area. The exhibit, which was breathtaking, is not really the reason I'm telling you this tale. In the main vestibule where drink and foodstuff created their own feast for the senses was an exquisite, towering work of art made up of colorful orbs and tentacles fashioned out of glass. (I'm sorry I don't remember the artist who mesmerized us so.)
We walked toward it, and, after a few moments, I asked my hubby, "What do you think of when you look at that?"
"It makes me think of pumpkins," he said after a brief pause. I looked at it from his point of view. Every spring he plants our "crops" - usually scattering the seeds in a devil-may-care fashion (where they land is where the crops will grow, is his motto) - and I could see, now, how the different colored balls resembled pumpkins and the tentacles looked like the "squiggles", as our daughters called them when they were wee, that shoot off from the vines.
"What do you think of when you look at this?" my suited hubby queried.
"I think of the Sarlaac in
Return of the Jedi," I noted matter-of-factly. "It's the longer tentacles reaching for the sky - or the creature's next meal - near the top of the sculpture. That's why it reminds me of Star Wars."
My husband, who happens to be a Star Wars fan, too, just chuckled. "Star Wars permeates life everywhere, whether people know it or not," I commented as we walked over to one of the tables laden with delectable treats.
Yes, Star Wars is everywhere. You just have to look!
