I don't know about you, but I think those Star Wars characters we love (and sometimes love to hate

) put the
action in action hero. In my mind, the first one who comes to mind is my favorite character from the saga - Luke Skywalker. Once a simple farmboy living a meager existence under the brutal twin suns of Tatooine, the unasuming youth sprang into action when he joined forces with the Rebel Alliance to help bring down the evil Empire. Luke is in good company when it comes to Jedi heroes springing into action. There's Obi-wan, Mace, Yoda, Leia (yes, I'm including Leia here, even though she doesn't assume her Jedi role until much later - for those of us who enjoy the EU), Anakin . . . the list goes on. How about considering the non-Force sensitive heroes like Han, Chewie, Lando, Padmé, Wedge . . . the list goes on.
You may be asking yourself why I bring this up. Well, because - simply - it's time for me to spring into action and put forth the third Countdown to CIV Raffle! My bout with that nasty virus last week has put me waaaaaay behind schedule, so I do not have my web page up and running in time for this week's raffle (although I am getting mighty close!

). Thus, I'm staging it from here. All you have to do if you'd like a chance at this week's drawing is to click on the "contact blogger" box, and type "Add My Name To The Hat". You must include your blog name
and your email address (so I know how to contact you if you are one of this week's two lucky

winners). There is absolutely
no cost to you; previous winners may enter. You have until Wednesday evening to enter. The winners of the mystery Star Wars-related prizes will be contacted Thursday.
Good luck!
MTFBWY!

p.s. If you're interested, last week's winners were hansgirl3 and vadersgirl33. After the second name was pulled out of the hat, I gave my padawans a sideways glance, much like the one Han gives Luke in the
Falcon's cockpit after rescuing Leia from DV's clutches . . . what are the odds of both winners having the word
girl in their names
and the number
3? My padawans and I had some fun with that!
