 Hey everyone! 21 here to blog about the many topics of the Star Wars Universe!
I have just recently heard that Star Wars Battlefront III is being made as we type, and it is coming out only for X-box 360.....and Playstation 3 
What are my reasons for being mad? I'll tell you. I only have a regular X-box which took me months of my allouence to get which was $200. Then yesterday I hear from a blog that Battlefront 3 is in the process of making, and it comes out for X-box 360!!!! I was really, really, really, REALLY looking forward to Battlefront 3. The new battles, the new characters, and the new maps. X-box 360 costs like $300. which is a hundred dollars more than my x-box! Its not fair that all the newest and coolest games are only coming out for the new game systems. And when I mean new games, I mean:
Halo 3- X-box 360, Playstation 3
Spiderman 3 the Game- X-box 360
Battlefront 3- X-box 360, Playstation 3
Superman Returns the Game- X-box 360
All of these new games, and only for the new game systems. How unfair is that? Alot of us I assume can't afford these new gamesystems and chooses to wait for new games for the ones we have. Why can't the Video Game indestries see that? Sure they can still make new games and all, but why not for all the gamesystems like X-box, Playstation, Playstation 2, and Gamecube? It'll expand their buisness for all video game users. Now I know some of you feel the same way I do.
Speak out! Share your opinions on this matter. Look on this site to look at upcoming games, and how many are for the new gamesystems.

Well I do think it sucks but you gotta stop making old ones somewhere, Otherwise we would still have new PS1 games coming, At least the Xbox 360 will be cheaper by the time Battlefront III comes, And remember, there is always someone worse off than you, I personaly have to earn 2,600$ between now and May 23rd to make it to Celebration IV, and Im too young to get a real job!

Unfortunately as a gamer you should know that is how the gaming market works and has always worked, otherwise they'd still be making games for Atari!
My advice to you is start saving now and ask for just money for your birthday and Christmas if you celebrate it in order to save for a 360.
Please note that the 300 dollar version has no hard drive so you'll need to buy a 50 dollar memory card, so you're better off getting the good version so you'll get a hard drive. it's worth the extra hundred.

i totally feel for you,21! when BF 2 came out only for x-box and PS2 i was so mad!
(have a gamcube) maybe they might relese it for the other systems after a few months like they did for the first lego star wars game.

I'll pissed if it turns out it actually won't be available on PC, but given that we don't really know anything for sure, I wouldn't go get all angry about system releases, especially when it's very likely that it will be on PC.

oh, and spiderman 3 the game will not be on the 360......sony makes the spiderman movies and sony makes PS3...simple fact....
No, it's confirmed for the 360 as well. Exclusivity isn't profitable anymore which is why very few games are exclusive for either system.

Like me. We don't even have a PC, much less an X-box, GameCube, PS2, or any kind of gaming system whatsoever. Just a prehistoric Apple, with which nothing seems to be compatible.... Ah, well. Have fun with BFIII, folks!!!

You see to me thats the big question. Why not make the newest coolest games for video game system? It really expands the video game buisness because more and more people will buy the new games. why? because they would be out for all video game users. Why does'nt the video game industries think of that idea. Its now "new games for new systems" which really frustrates me.
Like me we don't even have a PC, much less an x-box
That really sucks. Gamecubes and Playstation 2's are $200. Gameboy SP is like $60.
Try and find a way to urn some money, you may just yet get the gamesystem you want.

Why not Sony expand their buisness by dealing with X-box? I don't think that statement is completely true. I have the first 2 spiderman games for X-box.
Maybe they'll release it for other systems, like the after a few months like lego star wars.
Why not realease new games for other systems the first day they come out?
Unfortunately that is how the gaming market works and how it always works.

I know what you mean 21! I just got the PS2 2 years ago, & now the next gen consoles are coming! Unfair! And once the prices of the new consoles go down, there will be an PS4, and a new Xbox, they'll keep doing this until video games go out of style, ending with a PS100.

I am mad about that too!!! I mean, you can't expect to make good profits on a game when it is only out for 2 sytems each costing from $300 to $500. BF1 and 2 were out for the Xbox and PS2 when they costed about $120. Not when they were new and costed $400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well then that would'nt be very fair for any other systems. If they only made BF2 for x-box, then all of the PS2 players, and Gamecube players would be blown away! There would be more blogs like this complaining about games being only for one system.
I'm mad about that too!
As am I.
very possibly untrue.....sony looks to be dying...and PS3 looks to be their last resort.
How could Sony lose that much buisness? I don't understand. 
They'll keep doing this until vidoe games go out of style. Ending with a PS100

What games come to what systems has more to do with the contracts between the Designers (or owners of the games rights) and the consoles say, then what the public actualy want's. If game designer A wants Game System B to put their game on their best console or they won't sell them the rights to produce the game then they will, or company A will go down the road. You also cannot expect a company to support a system after they have come out with a new system because the new system is their buisness, because the new system is how they make their money. You think that sucks then you should try PC gamming. If you want to to play the newest of the new games on PC sometimes you have to go as fars buying a new $400-$500 Video card just to handle the new game. Sometimes you have to do more than that. Also of note it has been proven that a new systems profits far outweigh the old system stragellers profits. You as a consumer are thinking simply in one game development terms, but for every system a multi system game is on you have to do multi system development, which costs more money per system. Games will realease on the target system (in this case the best system currently on the market, because it has the best graphics and such) and if it does well then they will see if it is worth the profit, or lack of it to put it on the other systems. Also the older systems may simply lack the ability to run these games, in which case the only thing you can hope for is PC.
BTW - Halo is a Microsoft exclusive. If you think otherwise you should send an e-Mail to KP as Bungie and ask his Microsoft employed rear.

Well, I know what you meen about the new games for new systems thing. It's dumb! I can't afford it at all and this is a bad time with money with my family. But, luckly I heard my parents talking and my grandma and I think i'm getting one!!! I hope I get it.!

Because, a gaming system (console) company has to aquire the rights to the game. Multi system polination becomes near imposible to do when you not only produce the game, but you also produce a console, or your game designing company is owned by the people that produce a console, like Bungie (Halo.) The console owners want exclusive rights to a game, because that gives them more money, and this gives the Console people the run of the show. (continued)

If XBox gets exclusive rights to a game, and you want to play it you have to get their system, giving them more money. If they share rights to the game with Sony then they have to share in the profits as well. If you sold icecream, and a store opened up next door that also sold icecream, you would do what you could to make sure that you got the best icecream, right?

We PC gamers are in kind of the same situation, with Windows Vista coming out, more new games will be switching to that system. Halo 2, for example: Coming to PC... but! Only on Vista! To heck with XP! Yeah! "Go out and buy my new operating system!" Bill Gates says. "I need a bigger boat! Like, and oil tanker!"

The PS3 will be the death of sony's gaming industry. $500 for a 20GB memory and $600 for a 60GB memory, you have got to be kidding me. I don't care what it does, it isn't worth $600 dollars. Xbox 360 has better games coming out anyway.

I personally dislike the Xbox 360 AND Playstation 3. I am a huge Wii fanatic, and cant wait until Star Wars graces its innovative controls. I want to aim the blaster, and swing the Lightsaber. Battlefront III would be awsome on the Wii.
I wonder when a Star Wars Wii game will come out. It would be all the rage.

With how cheap the Wii is suppose to be ($250.00 MSRP) I don't think it will be a problem for me to own both a Nintendo Wii, and an XBox 360. Plus the Wii also plays Game Cube games too, and since I never owned a Game Cube this will give me a reason to catch up on some of the newer Zelda Games. I haven't played Zelda since the Super Nintendo (Zelda - Link to the Past.) The only thing that bothers me about the Wii, is that I have been around for every Nintendo product, and have learned that Nintendo like a good gimmic, and have failed many a time because of the need for THE gimmic. Remember the Virtual Boy, or the robot that spun the tops? Gimmics.

I'm sorry to say that I actually applaud the decision to release only on next generation consoles. It means that the game is built from the ground up to take advantage of the power of those systems. At the end of the day, the XBox already has two Battlefront games (which I love, by the way). I understand your pain but this is the way of the world

Things keep changing and so does technology.
No one would EVER make new games on an old concole.

Wow, what a rant man. First let me give you a history lesson. Atari... Nintendo...Super Nintendo... Playstation/N64... Playstation 2/Xbox... Xbox 360/PS3/Wii. That my friend is called progress. It is not unfair it is called economics, Supply and Demand. When you get a newer better machine why continue to suppoert the older machine? Just be happy that they are going to make the best game possible and then sell your xbox and get a 360. (Asn save that allowance money).
