The Galaxy--Which We Served--Turned Against Us!
Hey guys! 21, here to blog about the many interesting topics of the Star Wars Universe!

Jedi Purge of 3,955 B.B.Y. Jedi Purge of 19 B.B.Y. Jedi Purge of 130 A.B.Y. These are dates of the three Jedi Purges in the Universe. Now, there is a question that goes alonjg with these dates. Are you sensing a pattern here?

I sure am! Jedi are supposed to be intelligent and are supposed to see a higher purpose in all things. But with all these purges that have caused the Jedi to run and hide, I'm beggining to test their intelligence a bit.

After the first Jedi Purge in 3,955-3,951 B.B.Y, Darth Nihilus, Darth Traya, and Darth Sion, posted a bouny on Jedi, and sent their elite Sith Assasins from the graveyard world Malachor to hunt a kill all the remaining Jedi. Revan caused this, knowing that the Jedi would have a wait-and-see approach. But one Jedi (Jedi Exile) brought gathered together a few of the remaining Jedi and asked them to join her and destroy the Sith once and for all. But the Jedi had already concluded to wait, saying "there is nothing else we can do". Hm. Pretty dumb if you ask me.

Then four thousand years later, a Jedi Knight named Anakin Skywalker, turned to the dark side and led an Empire that was bred to find and destroy the Jedi and bring peace to the galaxy. Again, the remaining Jedi chose to hide and wait as countless surviving Jedi were killed by Darth Vader.

One hundred and forty-six years later, the Sith were re-born by a Sith Lord named Darth Krayt, and were trained as one large organization that only wanted to bring death to the force. Again, the Jedi hid for seven years and watched as this evil brough death to all life.

PATTERN!! What in thew world are the Jedi thinking! At least by the end of the first Jedi Purge, the Jedi Masters should have realized that if you act towards an enemy, chances are you will either win or number the enemy's followers. Why didn't the Jedi realize that acting is the greater cause when you are being purged. If you don't gather your remaining Jedi and strike the enemy as one big force, then your whole order will die, leaving you the very last member.

I've read on wookiepedia, when after every single Jedi Purge, there is an Conclave, one or two years later. And in all of those conclaves, the Jedi who are meeting are killed by the enemy because the enemy can track them down through the force. Take Wolf Sazen for example. He was a surviving Jedi from the Massacre of Ossus, who met with four other Jedi Masters seven years later. The enemy eventuall found out where they were located, and killed two of the Jeid that were gathered.

With all of the Jedi Purges that have occurred in the galaxy, don't you think the Jedi would be sensible enough to know that when you hide more Jedi are killed? The Jedi Exile, Revan, Kyp Durron. All of these Jedi realized the Jedi's mistake in hiding. But every single time they presented this truth to a council, they were rejected, and often punished for thinking of these 'untruthful' thought.

My point is this, is the Jedi Order better off being ruled by Jedi who have expirienced war and death on such a scale that they know what to truly do in a time of crisis? Do the Jedi need to forever chancge their code that represents that the future Jedi have learned from the past and want to prevent the mistakes from happening again in the future?

Perhaps the Bounty Hunters are right. The Jedi need a Jedi Purge/
