Hi gang,

David Acord here from Skywalker Sound! This is actually my first blog ever, so bear with me. Matt Wood suggested that I write one to let everyone know what's new and exciting here at the Ranch. But first, an introduction:

Aside from being a long time Star Wars fan (saw New Hope for the first time in '77 at a drive-in in Maryland), I am also a film and TV sound guy. Prior to working for Skywalker, I was a production sound monkey (read: assistant or boom operator). Years later, after moving up to northern California to pursue my post-production (editing monkey) career in sound, I appeased the right gods or maybe it was my sparkling personality, but I landed a gig at Skywalker.

That's all for now. Oh, I should also tell you that I also voiced the Polis Massa medical droid, GH-7, in Ep.3 ("Medically she is completely healthy...").
