Legacy Comic Series 2
This is a continuation of my previous entry regarding my concerns about the Legacy Comic series.

If you haven't read my first entry about the Legacy comic series then go back and check it out. Now, my point was that I don't like the fact that the novels are getting boxed in, and the publication of the Legacy comics before the publication of chronologically equal novels forces the spoiling of certain elements of all Star Wars novels that take place in the next 100 years.

So here are three examples of spoilers, in order of likelihood, that can be concluded based on the information in Insider.

Jagged Fel becomes the new Emperor. According to Insider, Roan Fel is, "the third of the benevolent Fel dynasty to serve as Emperor". Let's do the math, three generations, 100 years. Given the lifespan of most Star Wars characters it's a lock. Jagged becomes the first Emperor. He doesn't have any children yet, so it's quite likely that 100 years could only make up three generations.

Jaina marries Jag. Alright, this isn't quite a lock, but if Jagged's grandson Roan Fel is a "talented wielder of the Force" then the Jedi link must come in elsewhere. Jaina is easily the most logical answer. With Jagged's upcoming reappearance into the story in Bloodlines, look for him and Jaina to begin to get past their Swarm War conflicts.

The third is a lot more of a stretch. With 100 years between NJO and the first Legacy entry, Ben Skywalker should still be alive. Of course he could get killed in between there, but being a Jedi, death by natural causes would still be a few decades away in 100 years. But I don't think Ben can die, the only person who can kill Ben is Jacen, and I think it is more likely that (and here is my third spoiler)...Ben lives on and becomes Darth Krayt, the head of the new sith order. At first I thought this would be Jacen, but we are told that Krayt was, "Born into a galaxy torn asunder by warfare and ravaged by the invasion of the Yuuzhan Vong." The person who fits this description better then any other is Ben Skywalker. Of course this set's up the inevitable line of dialogue: "Wolf Sazen never told you what happened to your grandfather" "He told me enough, he told me you killed him!" "No Cade, I am your grandfather"....ha, so sweet!
