The Expanded Universe I love is the books, and like all Star Wars fans, the Clone Wars was the most anticipated feature of the EU ever. It started off with a bang, Shatterpoint, Matt Stover truly showed that he is one of, if not the best Star Wars author. And then? Jedi Trial? Cestus Deception? I understood that Lucas Books wanted new Authors, these two books were horrible!!! That's 2 of the HARDCOVER books I'm talking about. ANAKIN'S KNIGHTHOOD! If only Karen Traviss had written more. Hard Contact was amazing, top 10 Star Wars books easily. Dark Rendevous was an intense analysis, a book that answered many questions. If only these had been the spotlighted books. I have not read the medic books so I can't judge those, I just wish that Lucas Books had been more careful in selecting their authors for the Clone Wars.
