Ever regret not buying that toy when you saw it? Not going to that fan event with it was held? Not watching that special when it was aired?
I have a few...to start with, missing Celebration I. I live in Denver, Colorado. Celebration I was held in Denver, Colorado (back in the day when the Fan Club was still headquartered here in Aurora, Colorado-ahhh the good old days...). Albiet a rainy Celebration. I didn't go!!!!!!!
"Idoit"-I can hear you all say, and I agree.
Literally miles from me, were Star Wars fans gathered to Celebrate. And I missed it. I still kick myself for it. But did that regret push me to attend Celebrations II and III? Nope.
None of my friends would dare spend the money to travel to an event like this, and I'm not one to go alone. Call me bashful. I am hoping, sometime in the future, there may be another Celebration-and that one I will attend, alone or not!
Collectibles...I don't have many regrets here, as I
usually buy what it is I want, when I want it. I know I will regret not buying a Master Replica lightsaber-but I cannot afford $369. And it makes me very sad, because I KNOW (did I mention I KNOW?) that I will regret not just getting one. But I really can't, and it makes me want to scream!
Another regret-not as large as others I've had, but a regret nontheless, was missing the 60 Minutes special with George Lucas. I devour all interviews with him and the cast/crew of the films. I was also very upset to realize I missed Ian McDiarmid on Good Morning America, and one other show (I can't remember now). I have never seen Ian in an interview and I would have loved to hear him discuss the two trilogies and his roles in both.
Regret really stinks!
That is why I made a decision to attend Dragon*Con, and I hope it ends up worth it! But don't worry, I'll let you all know!
