The long and amazing journey...finally coming to a close
After seeing Attack of the Clones, I couldn't wait for this movie, knowing that it'd be the ultimate Star Wars movie. Heck, I thought that way since the Phantom Menace as well. Now...only 1 day away, we are so close to witnessing the final movie. My computer countdown started at 296 days (the announcing of the title), and now it's finally here. First though, I'll recap the past couple years of waiting.

Summer 2003
In June 2003, Hyperspace began. I immediately subscribed to it, and what a good decision it was! The features are amazing, and won't stop with this movie. Among my favorite that first summer was the webcam, which I'd check often with the great people at the Webcam Chat Party Thread. I've made several friends from that thread, and I even met a few of them at Celebration III! The production of the movie was fascinating to watch and read about, with spoilers and rumors flying left and right, hardly any of them remaining true to the final result, but still fun to discuss.

Summer 2004
Summer 2004 was a great summer as well. In May, I felt so close because Episode III was "only a year away!!" LOL A couple months passed, and the real excitement began, with the announcement of the title. Boy, what an exciting time to be a fan. It was great to finally stop calling it "Episode III" and start calling it "Revenge of the Sith" or "ROTS". And there was sooo much to look forward to as well at that point. The first trailer was rumored to be in November, with the official poster surely do about the same time.

Fall 2004
The announcement of the title was only a taste of what was to come in the fall. September 21 held both the release of the OT DVDs, which were very long awaited and well worth it, and the videogame Star Wars Battlefront. Still today I play Battlefront on-line, for it never seems to get old. And with Battlefront II coming out this fall, I can't wait! Anyway, October passed by and rolled into November, which kicked off in a boom with the teaser trailer for Episode III. Man, it was incredibe seeing the first footage of Episode III for the first time, that we had watched being produced all this time. The official movie poster came soon after, which was amazing as well.

Winter 2004-2005
Knights of the Old Republic II kicked off December, which was an amazing game, in my mind living up to its incredibly high expectations set by the first one. After that, however, the action slowed down, letting March start up the excitement again with the Clone Wars cartoon and Republic Commando videogame. Also, March held the full-length Episode III trailer, which was simply stunning, even today when I watch it.

Celebration III
Wow, what an amazing time I had at Celebration III. Yes, the lines were long, but it was well worth it. Meeting the people I had talked to on-line was simply awesome, and worth the ticket alone. Also, seeing George Lucas himself speak and answer questions was stunning, as was Rick McCallum's Spectacular. The figures I bought there really boosted my collection as well. I'll never forget that weekend.

Now, it is here everyone. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the one we've all been waiting for, the one that is said to deliver and make the wait more than worth it (even though it already has been for me at least). So sit back and enjoy people, for this will be the last Star Wars film ever.
