Dark Horse Gives the Best Christmas Presents
Three days after Christmas I got one of my coolest gifts of the holiday season and best of all it was completely unexpected. On the 28th I was sitting on my couch after having a monstrous lunch of Christmas dinner leftovers, when the doorbell rang. The FedEx man was at the door and had one small parcel in his hand. I signed for it and turned it over to discover that it was addressed to me. Having no idea what it could be I glanced at the return address, lo and behold it was from Dark Horse Comics. Still being clueless as to what it could possibly contain I excitedly ripped the envelope open.

Inside was a packet of papers with the top page being a letter from Freddee Lins the newest assistant editor on the Star Wars Line from Dark Horse Comics. The cover letter explained that the rest of the packet was an advance copy of Rebellion #11 (Small Victories Part 1). I knew of a couple people that had gotten advanced copies of Rebellion #6, but I never expected to receive anything like that myself. The letter also said that the reason they sent out the advanced copies was so that those of us who received them could write response for the letters page of the inaugural issue of an arc.

The next page of the packet was the finished cover of Rebellion 11, with word balloons and everything. Only the artwork was on the internet when I checked yesterday. The next page was the inside cover and it like the cover was in full color. However all of the other pages were black and white. Well, black and white except for a couple of things, the word boxes are yellow and one "sound effect" was blue with a yellow border but other than that there was no colors.

Everything was printed on only one side of paper and the packet was unbound. The paper itself is high gloss. The panels are the same size they will be in the finished book and thus don't fill up the 8½'' x 11'' sheets of paper they are printed on (the panels are centered). Also no ads, but no letter page either (obviously).

Before you ask I am not going to discuss the plot of the book but I have posted some hints out there on the web if you know where to look ;).
