Why I won't be going to see Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Even though I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan, I don't think I'll be going to the cinema to see the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars film.

First off I'm not generally a fan of animated films. The only animated films I enjoy are Pixar's, and I feel the rest lack the charm and style of cartoons and the realism that live-action offers. If this movie would have been either a cartoon or a live-action film I probably would have gone to see it, but I'm so sick of lifeless computer animated films.

Second, I'm not particularly interested in the Clone Wars storyline. It's not dynamic enough for me - just a load of slow boring politics and wars. And what about the Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series. Wasn't that enough expansion upon the Clone Wars saga?

But thirdly, and most importantly, I haven't been a fan of anything Lucas has done with Star Wars since the Special Editions. I can't get behind what he does anymore. It all seems to lack the excitement and atmosphere of the Old Trilogy and I just don't enjoy it. There's such a gap in quality it's amazing, and part of me wishes he wouldn't have made any more Star Wars films after ROTJ.

I can't believe I'm so uninterested in this film, but I probably won't even end up renting the DVD when it comes out. If Lucas and co. were making a new film they could have done something else way more fun and exciting than this, but they haven't, and it sucks.

BTW, this is my first post on here in over two years, it's been a while!
