...There is only the Force
If you read my blogs, you probably know that my two best friends in the entire galaxy are twin sisters nicknamed Mel and Sars. One of the most admirable and influential people I've ever met was their father, Mr. Way. He taught at the High school that the three of us go to, and he was every one's favorite teacher, and yesterday morning, out of the blue, he died of a brain tumor that was discovered only three days earlier. I just wanted to ask for your prayers for his family and for me and all our friends. The entire school was devastated today, and with good reason. He was so dedicated to all the students, whether he knew them or not, and was extremely dedicated to the Lord. He held a Bible study for all Mel and Sars's friends which I went to, He had signs all around his classroom door that said things like: "The lie: you are worthless. The truth: You are priceless" and every day, in between every class period, he would stand out side his room and smile at every passing student whether he knew them or not and say "good day." He was an avid Star Wars fan, and he really was like a real-life Jedi Master, now that I think back on it. He was such a role model for everyone and was so involved in the community. Everybody knew him. Last night after they found out, someone created a Facebook group called in remembrance of Mr. Way. Within an hour, there were 200 members. By this morning there were over 900. Nobody can really believe he's gone, and I think a part of me will never believe it. It was really amazing to walk in to school today because I walked by his door before class started and there were people hanging signs and leaving flowers all over Mr. Way's door. By the end of First Period, the staff had set up a memorial table in the school commons for flowers and things, and by the end of the day, the memorial table was four tables long. I haven't talked to either of his daughters since this has happened, but I knew all of you awesome people here on the blogs would be very supportive, so just please keep us all in your prayers. Thanks.

P.S. "IGGMY" Is something that Mr. Way always signed his E-Mails with. It stands for "I'm Glad God Made You" so in memory of Mr. Way and because of course I'm very glad God made you all, I think I'm going to start signing my blogs this way.

I'm very sorry for the loss of Mr. Way. Sounds like he was an inspiration to many people. You don't find teachers like that every day.

A very touching entry and one worthy of being in the Jedi Archives.

A similar thing happened in a town just south of us where a beloved teacher and principal just passed away last week. He had taught in several communities around our town, always preferring to teach in the smaller county schools.

I was blown away at the number of people's lives this man touched. He had been a teacher and mentor for over 30 years.

Our thoughts are with his family, you and all the others that this man influenced.

I echo the sentiments of others. I hope that during this difficult time you and your friends find comfort and solace in these words which I'm sure you know well.

John 11:25: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

I am so sorry, I03, to hear your news, that you lost someone who held such a special place in your heart. An unexpected death is always hard - on everyone - but I hope you know that if someone touches your life as Mr. Way obviously touched yours and so many others, that person never is truly gone.

My condolensces. You all definitely will be in my prayers.

MTFBWY :)
