So...you remember how two months ago I said I'd be getting on a lot more once Band was done? Yeah, just kidding. I finally got some down time today so I can write this blog just so you all know I'm not dead. Actually that's not true, I
made some down time and am going to be paying for it later. So what's new in my life? Well, what isn't new?
School: School's going pretty well, though my second marking period grades are a lot worse than first marking period. >.< The good news is, after January, no more German, English, Cultures or Gym! Next semester I'll be taking Geometry, (Ahh! I'm scared of Math!) Biology, Health, Drawing I and Drawing II. And I'll actually have some classes with friends! I also joined the indoor Pit and Percussion ensemble. It's like a scaled-down, percussion-only version of Marching Band. I'm slowly learning how to play the xylophone, and it's going okay-ish. That's part of why I never did get on after the end of Band season.
Home:
Nothing really interesting happening at home, except that I got a new room and it's now FILLED
with Star Wars stuff, (
YES!) and we got a new
kitten. Don't worry, nothing happened to our old one, we just got another one. Unfortunately, she's...evil! Dun-dun-duuuun! Oh, and my sister dyed her hair electric blue, incase you wanted to know.
Art:
Yay, now I get to brag! Just kidding, but I do get to show you what I've been doing, and I've been doing a lot! Fortunately, everything you need to know is on the artist's comments on the links I'm giving you, so I don't have to ramble on endlessly. I'm only showing you my best recent stuff, so if you want to see the rest of it, go here:

Star Wars:
Now, the part we all actually care about. Around Thanksgiving I read Coruscant Nights I and II. They were pretty good, but it was kind of boring. Then I read Shatterpoint, which besides being extremely graphic was one of the best Star Wars books I've ever read. Then I read Darth Bane I, another one of my new favorites. I'm pretty sure I'm marrying Darth Bane. Back off, Githany! Then I picked up Splinter of the Mind's Eye about two weeks ago, read to page 10...and haven't touched it since. I've just been too busy drawing! <3 Maybe I'll put in some effort over Christmas break. In addition to reading, I've been watching Clone Wars faithfully every Friday. So far my favorite one has been the most recent one about Kit Fisto and his apprentice. For being a kid's show, it's wonderful! Good, clean Star Warsy fun! And Ahsoka's really growing on me.

Hey, If any of you are interested, I found sites for the Kotor I and Force Unleashed soundtracks. Unfortunately, the TFU one can't be downloaded, but the Kotor one can.
Kotor. TFU. As for the old Balanced Force Day tree, I think we have as many Star Wars ornaments as we do Christmas ones. Wanna See?

Random stuff:
I found this hilarious web comic called Zap! if any of you are interested. There are so many Star Wars parallels it's almost ridiculous. Don't mind the badness of the art at the beginning. By the third volume it's good and by the fourth it's amazing! I highly, highly, highly recommend reading it.
Zap!
Since I probably won't update my blog between now and Christmas, I hope everyone has a safe, happy and Forceful Balanced Force Day/ Christmas/ whatever other holiday you may celebrate!
