Book Review: Death Star and a LONG Vacation
First the review!

Death Star, by Michael Reeves and Steve Perry

THE GOOD:
First off, let me take a moment to spaz out incoherently over the awesomeness that is this book: AHAAFSDJUWEROGSNKL IT WAS SO GOOOOOD!!! Okay, I'm good.
This was one of the best books I've read in a long time! It was very relaxed, a light read, but not slow by any means. The characters were interesting and/or amazing and/or downright sexy! I can't think of anyone in this book I disliked, except maybe Tarkin and Motti, but that's a given. Only a few people died, (WOW! A standalone where most of the people actually survived?! What is this nonsense?!) and those that did at least got a very cool, noble and fitting Death. When Atour resigned himself to his fate and sat down amongst his volumes of precious holobooks, I nearly cried. And when Nova and Rodo pwned the crap out of those Stormies I literally cheered out loud, right in the middle of Band. :8} Ratua, Uli and Vil are three new imaginary boyfriends of mine, even though two of them got married ! (which I was happy about, mind you!) I loved how the plot ran parallel to EPIV, and the climax was insane! Beacause, you already know what's going to happen and just how little time they all have to get out and up untill the very end it looks like they're not going to make it. Again, I was hyperventilating and yelling at the book out loud in Band class. Oh, and part of this book were totally hilarious! Vil has a great sense of humor! They all do really.

THE BAD: Ummm...can I leave this part blank? xp I'm dead serious, I don't know what to put here. It was that good!

THE OTHER:
Yeah, Tarkin+Daala=Ben+Tahiri=Mega pedo-eeeeeewww!!! I think I'll leave it at that. ]:)

Overall, above average, I'd strongly recommend it!

So incase you couldn't tell, Sars and I have both decided to give up the Internet for Lent! I know, what were we thinking?!? :O I honestly don't know, but I have a feeling that giving my poor burned-out eyes a rest is probably a good idea. ;) I the meantime, we both plan to be doing lots of drawing and reading, and we're working on what we're calling the "hypothetical Tales of the New Jedi Order." We've both been wanting a "tales" book for the NJO era for a really long time, so we're figuring out what that might look like. Characters, which authors would write which stories, maybe even cover or inside art, if we feel ambitious. I'll let you know after Lent! :D Obviously, since it's less than a half hour before Lent stars, I won't be seeing your comments, but I'll reply to them when I get back on in April! See you all then!

I have to disagree. You can read my full review here, but I was hoping for more intrigue and development of the Imperial officers we saw in the film.

I thought this book was great! I think giving up the internet for any reason is not. At least, I couldn't stand it!

Thanks for the review!
