Star Wars...without Lucas?
My fellow Jedi,

Something has been brought to my attention and it must be disscused. Movies 7, 8, and 9.

Now, I know that George Lucas has squashed any rumors about movies 7, 8, and 9 being made. He has said that there are no movies for the events after ROTJ. But another loyal Star Wars fan brought something to my attention. What if Lucas sold the rights to Star Wars and someone else took on that responsibility? (Let's pray to the Force that that never happens.)

Now, to me, Star Wars isn't and could never be 'Star Wars' without Mr. Lucas behind the scenes. He was the one that first thought up this amazing story and has carried it out to the end. He has carried it out brilliantly, dispite many fans and critics being overly critical of the prequel trilogy. It is truly one of the best sagas ever to have been thought up. But, without Mr. Lucas working his magic, would it be even close to as good as it is with him?

Now, I am not at all saying that I wouldn't like to see movies 7, 8, and 9. (It is something I hope for every single day.) It just wouldn't seem like Star Wars to me... Because, to me at least, George Lucas...is Star Wars.

I would love to hear your opinion on this.

-May the Force be with you!
