This blog is in responce to a blog that I read the other day. But since my answers are always really long this is the only way I could post my comments.
Anyway...
The Will of the Force. Are all of our choices already planned out for us? Or do we get to make the choices?
The only answer that seems fitting to me is that "the Will of the Force" will lead you down a path that is pre-determined, aka: your destiny. So you will still be able to make choices on your own, but "the Will of the Force" will still be able to guide you.
Does that make sence?
Okay, here. I'm an agnostic. But if I were to choose a religion, it would be the path of the Jedi. What I believe is that there is some higher being or power, like the Force, guiding you in a way. So it leads you down a certain path but on the path, YOU can make certain choices all by yourself.
Still not following me?
Alright, Star Wars. Anakin Skywalker was the Chosen One, as most of us believe. It was his destiny to become the greatest Sith Lord and destroy the Jedi to ultimatly "bring balance to the Force". But some of the choices that he made, like killing Dooku and choaking Padme were his own. See, those choices still led him down the path of his destiny and were following that path but they were still HIS choices. Those choices were not the choices of the Force. They were Anakin's choices. But they still followed down the path of his destiny. He could have chosen to let Padme live, and would still have been able to become the most fearsome Sith Lord ever. Even if he didn't kill Dooku when Palp said he should, he would have "chosen" to commit a cold-blooded murder sometime in his future. So, i guess, from a certain point of view, people can choose when, where, and who. But no matter your choice with those, it will still be following down the path to your destiny.
Another one. Luke Skywalker. "You must do what you feel is right of course." -Obi-Wan to Luke. Obi-Wan knew that the Force would lead Luke down the road to his destiny but whether Luke chose to take that path then or later was HIS choice. Not the Force's.
I hope that makes sence. Well, thanks IllogicalRogue2 for bringing up this great point. I hope my view on this makes sence to some of y'all.
Choose your choices wisely...but the Force will always be with you...guiding you to your destiny.
