It's funny how much SW permeates popular culture. According to the Order 66 article on Wikipedia, the term is now a slang phrase for mass layoffs in the marketplace.

And it happened to me. In exile while typing this, I am.

Simple overview of situation: The theater program at my school has been completely shut down by the Dean of the Arts Department for the duration of the Summer and Fall. Maybe even longer... I was supposed to work in it (as in get paid!$$$) I am 1 out of 150 students, staff, and faculty that is effected by this. They are out of work. My freind doesn't have his job at the college anymore. The teachers are in a state of depression. The actors are very upset. The local media outlets aren't too happy about it. We even had large trucks full of equipment ready in a city three hours away, ready to be shipped to us. Now they are just sitting there, and the people involved set up major plans for it. Now thier summer got screwed up.

A very bad situation.

It's all politics. Too much (and too sensitive) to mention here. My knowledge of it is very limited and recent. After all, I am only a student. But my friend actually worked in the deparment, and is part of the major meetings, so I know the nasty details. My use of the word "nasty" really does apply, and I'm going to tell you, dear reader... (or readers.You know who you are. You are three people...)

The dean has totally bungled his responsibilities to the department. He has dropped the ball on many occasions. It is as if he is doing it on purpose to harm the department. One of many examples is the grant package of thousands of dollars that the department desperately needs, and he promises, but has been kept in limbo by him for 3 YEARS.

So know he cancels the program. His excuse is "safety reasons." It seems logical at first, because the theater is behind technologically and is in need of some renovations,and supposedly some people are coming in to work on the theater. Hence the "unsafe." We will be in their way. But this whole argument makes no sense once he says that we can't even use another theater in town that is safe.

Again, there is some major politics that are going on here. I won't get that far into it because 1. It takes up too much time and space. And 2. I don't really know all the details, so it will be foolish of me to make statements based on assumptions. But I definitley do know one thing...

And know for the "nasty" part...

There is a sex scandal involved. Four girls have already contacted the authorities and filed charges against him.

It makes me absolutely sick. And I hope it makes you sick too. And you are probably wondering why I had the stupidity to even mention this on the Web. This is extremely delicate stuff. I understand that. That is why I don't tell you the name of the school, or where I live. And of course, protecting the privacy of the victims is my Number One Priority. After all, I know these girls. They are my freinds. I hate sicko pervert freaks.

I am driven by the belief that covering these things up only makes the situation worse. It makes the institution involved look bad. I sincerely hope the school exposes this Scumbag in order to save face and retain the respect of the community. Cover-ups and complacency DO NOT WORK. Problems do not get fixed by ignoring them. Just ask the Catholic Church.

Ignorance, apathy, and complaceny is not the solution. In fact, it is part of the problem. It is why this guy got the job in the first place. Somehow he found his way into the job through some bureacratic process. It was already know by those who hired him that he lost his previous job because of his predatory behaviors towards his secretary, but he still got hired by the college! He was already on record as being a creep!!!

See? Blind complacency. The three monkeys. See no Evil. Hear no Evil. Speak no Evil.

That is why I am typing this. You really can't trust people these days. That most definitely includes those in positions of power. Hence the title of the blog. This guy is like Palpatine. Look for the connections.

Finally, this is a warning. There are lots of wierdos out there. And the scary thing is it could be anyone. This is a professional at an educational establishment. He is well off. Crime comes from all classes. How do you know your doctor isn't some wierdo? And don't forget the Internet. Wierdo Mecca, it is. Anyone on this site can be a pedophile, and yet that is not what most of of think when on here.

This man has stalked one of the girls through myspace.com. Her site recorded all the times he visited.

And one of the girls recorded him making verbal harassments. (Clever. I like that. "Fearless and inventive.")
