Before the Dark Times, before the Empire.
The Dark Times: A fan term for the period between about 1988 and 1997 when Star wars fandom ebbed with the Original Trilogy behind us and no clue as to when, or if, we would ever see a new Star Wars movie in theatres; these were our Dark Times. And so, we enter them again as Revenge of the Sith hits theatres we once again look ahead to a time when there will be no new Star Wars movies.
