I was waching parts of Return of the Jedi last night: The resque of Han Solo, Luke with Yoda, and the Finnal battle between Vader and Luke pluss the Emporer. Inbetwwen The final deul was scenes of the Ewoks fighting the Emporer. That has to be the cheesiest moment of Star Wars ever. After that, the whol movie seemed to spiral into cheesyness. That why Im writing this blog entry.

The thing that made ROTJ (retun of the Jedi) such a joke was some of the battles. Alot of it was fine but some of the battle were less than pleasing. Luke at Jabbas was good. There was that funny msical in the begining and then the cool fight on the Sail barge. My point? It was belivable. Now if Jabbas army was a bunch of stiff armed protocol droids we may loose some of the audiance. But the battle was belivable.

Now fast-forward the movie to twoards the end and you have the Ewoks. You know, the Wookies were originally suposed to fight the Emporer but there wasnt enouph technology back then, I geuss what Lucas was saying is he didnt want to spend all that money to buy full body Wookie suits for a 100 actors, it would b much easier with CG. Any way. The Ewok fight was lame, cheesy and down right dumb. First of all they used primitive weapons such as bow and arows and rocks, those were there best weapons. And the Empire had blasters! Theres no comparison. Pluss the Ewoks are to short and too cute to be taken as seriously, let alone a threat to the mighty Empire. Yet here they are fighting and defeating the Empire! The Empire! The Empire that ha before then Crushed the Jedi order, taken over the Galaxy, and has a battle station the size of a small moon. Yet there lossing to a bunch of rock throwing, furry midgets?!! How dumb is that?!! It would have been much cooler if we got to see more Rebel troops (we barley saw any) and less Ewoks. In one scene the Ewoks stand stop this tree log and are hurling rocks down at a group of Storm Troopers who fall over (and aparently die). This is also the same group of Storm Troopers that the Emporer refers to has his "Best troops". Surley that couldnt be the best! Not if their loosing to the Ewoks. That battle had to be the worst battle ever! It wasnt even science fiction it belonged in Lord of th Rings or somthing, not Star Wars! I mean come on! And the bad thing about all of it? It can be changed. There in the movie to much to be taken from it. As long as Star Wars lives we will have to face the Ewoks!
