C4 Recap: Day TWO!
Before I start on Day Two of C4, I need to go back and retouch on a few things from the Meet & Greet Party.

First of all, I added this in later to my last blog but many of you may have missed this awesome Group Photo of almost our entire group!

This was taken near the very end of the evening and I know some people had already left by then but it certainly captures a large majority of us and the spirit of the occasion!

Second, I had troubles uploading this file earlier but have managed to get it online now, so I wanted to add the first song performed by Jedi Princess 77 at our Meet & Greet party for your viewing & listening pleasure.

This is an ORIGINAL song, written by her and inspired by the scene in "A New Hope" when Luke ponders his future while staring at the twin sunset on Tatooine. It's a beautiful song and I hope JP77 does not mind me posting it as it deserves to be seen and heard.

OK, on to Day Two of C4!

To be honest, my memory of the exact events of Friday morning are a bit hazy; after staying up rather late the night before I do know I slept in a bit and took my time getting over to the Con, and then once inside I made an attempt to get to the Ralph McQuarrie booth to pick up the limited prints and of course missed out, then went to check the autograph lines for Carrie Fisher & Anthony Daniels and found them both rather LONG and so decided to wait.

I do remember meeting up with several fellow bloggers like Nob01 & T-Bone and wandering with them for a bit, then we all sort of went our separate ways for awhile with the promise to meet later for Amira Sa'id's Belly Dancing performance that afternoon.

As I wondered out of the Exhibit Hall, I immediately spotted Jedi Princess 77, looking rather flustered and upset, and I flagged her down to see what the problem was.

She was in a state as she was running behind for her pre-meeting for the Star Wars Celebrity Contest and could not find the room she was supposed to be in!

We quickly consulted a map and I deduced the fastest route there and led the way through the maze that is the LA Convention Center to find the meeting room just in the nick of time!

The doors were locked, but we pounded and eventually a security member opened up. JP77 told them who she was, and the security guard closed the door again and we waited anxiously for a few moments, only to have him reopen and usher her inside!

As I prepared to leave he asked me if I was coming as well, and with an approving nod from JP77 I went in too!

So I was treated to a special "Behind The Scenes" look at the planning levels of the Star Wars Celebrity contest and was able to be a bit of support for our Princess! Plus it was my first glimpse of seeing Jay Laga'aia at C4 as he was there to help prepare the contestants as well!

(note; I have a video clip of this that seems to be taking forever to load to You Tube, when it's up I will add it back in here. )

After that ended I set out to meet up with Nobby, T-Bone and some others in our crew to go see Amira Sa'ids Belly Dancing performance...after all, she was so kind enough to come out and perform for our Meet & Greet party, how could I NOT return the favor?

Amira, as usual, did not disappoint and her performance was a mix of grace, beauty and fun.

Watch her perform three separate solo dances HERE!

After her solo performances she invited up members of the audience to teach them some basic moves, starting with all the ladies in the room ....later she also invited up the men and I did indeed join in but I don't have any video as of course I was up on stage at that point, but there ARE a few pics of me up there shaking my groove thang.

It was fun and I must say, a LOT harder than it looks!

After belly dancing, our group went wandering again and I believe I did some more shopping etc. then realized that if I was going to try for Anthony Daniels autograph that day I needed to go back to my hotel room and get my Concept Droids figure set that I wanted him to sign along with Kenny Baker.

So I hopped the shuttle back to the hotel, ran up to grab the fig and hustled back down only to JUST miss the shuttle as it took off back to the Con.

I was debating on whether to wait the 30 minutes for the next one or start walking when I noticed a beautiful Twi'lek Sith Lord on her cell phone explaining to the folks back at the Con why she would be late back to her booth at the Fan Club Lounge she was working at, so I offered to split a cab with her so we wouldn't have to wait and she gratefully agreed...only at a Star Wars Con, LOL.

I arrived back at the Con and headed over to Anthony Daniel's line, where I discovered Hansgirl and Jedi Master Mina already in line and was informed they had been waiting for quite some time already and the line had barely moved.

Meanwhile, rumor had it that the lines were already forming for Opening Ceremonies, so the ladies devised a great plan: They sent me over to stake out the Opening Ceremony line and save us a spot; after they got their autographs they would meet me there and then we could all take turns rotating holding the spot.

Sounded like a great plan; I'd missed Opening Ceremonies at C3 because I did not get in line in time and I was determined NOT to make that mistake again, so I went and got in line and starting putting the word out to our Crew via the cell phone to meet me there when they could.

As word spread our Crew trickled in and we all gathered there to wait...now before you start saying we shouldn't have let people cut in, TRUST me, we were NOT the only ones doing this!

I took a break from the line to run over and at least get Kenny Bakers autograph on my Concept Droids figs, although Anthony Daniels would have to wait for another day.

Then it was back in line to wait. We had fun though just hanging out together and of course taking pictures.

Eventually, the doors opened and the crowd rushed in to what would be a spectacular event: Opening Ceremonies at Celebration 4!

That will have to wait until the NEXT blog kids...so don't miss it!
