OK, so I've been out of the loop for awhile, but not so out of it that I haven't heard the whispers and rumors of C5 coming sometime, someWHERE, this summer!

While we all await for an official time & place announcement, I figured it couldn't hurt to also start discussions on what I have already decided to dub "The Official Bloggers Meet & Greet Party Ep. II: Revenge Of The Bloggers!"

With the overwhelming success that was the first Bloggers Meet & Greet Party there was an immediate call for a second one should C5 ever take place, and I wholeheartedly concur, and will gladly take the reigns of organizing it again ...unless someone else feels they would rather take the job...? anyone? anyone? Bueller? Beuller...?

Obviously, with no date or location announcement as of yet, we cannot organize a WHERE or WHEN, but I figured perhaps we could at least discuss some ideas for WHAT we would like it to be this time around.

Last time, we had quite the combination of entertainment: trivia games, music, and live performances including Amira Sa'id's Slave Leia belly dancing performance , our own Jedi Princess Bethany singing and our resident jokester Stooge live with a classic stand up routine!

If any of those performers would like to do so again that would be fantastic, and perhaps there are others of you out there with talents you would like to show off to your fellow bloggers? Start thinking about it NOW...singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, jugglers, musicians, ...any and all would be welcome.

What OTHER ideas do you have, things you would like to see happen?

Perhaps a costume contest could be fun...and perhaps THIS time around I could be more organized and get some dancing going too.

At CIV we managed to broadcast most of the party live via streaming webcast for many back home who could not attend, and I would certainly work at doing that again as well.

I would also LOVE to get some of the fine folks here from SW.com to attend; last time several of them actually DID show up but were kept OUT of the party by the restaurant management because the outdoor patio where we were having it had reach maximum capacity!!!

I still feel bad about that, i wish I had known...

Lastly, I would like to just throw this idea out there on the off chance anyone responsible for the organizing of C5 is reading:

While doing the Meet & Greet party OUTSIDE of the convention was a lot of fun, how COOL would it be if it were actually PART of C5 itself and could take place INSIDE the convention center? Not only would many more be able to attend but it would make it SO much easier to promote and also possibly get some celebs to attend! Hey, one can wish, cant they...?

All we would really NEED from you would be a ROOM, a time slot and the permission to do it.

Perhaps it could be after hours; once the exhibits etc. shut down for the day we could take over one decent sized room and set it up.

On the plus side of finding a venue outside the con, a restaurant is far easier in that food and drink are handled by them as opposed to having to bring something IN.

But where ever, WHEN ever, C5 happens to take place, we somehow have to make the Meet & Greet happen too!

I know its kind of early but figured why NOT start thinking about it now, ya know?
