...The Day After...
So....

This is what a holiday hangover is all about, waking up like I have not slept in a week, unable to focus on work, stumbling up the stairs to use the little room?

Well at least it was worth it!! after being up on the 24th until 3AM trying to see Darth Claus, I caught a couple hours of shut eye before my body said it was time to get up again.

The started well - we actually had to wake the little ones up to get the day started cause this year was one of those years where the day was fully planned to a minute.

The day went by with surprise presents, squeals of joy, the "oh no you did not Santa" stunned statements..

I got a Plo Koon Titanium Ship with Hyperspace ring - it looks so cool! (we have a whole shelf of those on the entertainment center). As well as the Boba Fett mug!

I gave my room mate (WifeOfVader) a holographic Darth Vader bobble head *grins* it was a kewl find in the store!

But I have to admit that my biggest surprise, and most amazing award has to be split between two presents, and most amazingly, BOTH are not star wars related.

My room mate's 10, almost 11 year old daughter decided this year that she was going to make home made pillows for christmas. They all came out particularly fantastic, and then I opened mine, and almost broke out in tears, as if anyone knows the real me, I am a huge fan of wolves, and wolf art, posters, plates, well she found two prints for the pillow and the front and back are different and amazing. So now when I sit and play my PS2 games at night before bed, I have a wolf pillow cradling my head and making me feel amazingly special!

So...are you wondering what could ever come close to matching that? Well here it is...I opened the wrapping, and opened the box, and found what looked like - well at first it felt like a bible or dictionary, from the size and smell of it, cause it had that older book smell. I put the box down look at my room mate quizzically as I wasn't sure what it was that she has gotten me, and then turned the book over and saw that it was a very special book, and the room heard me says "priceless" and then everyone wanted to know what I got. It is book of the COMPLETE works of Mr. William Shakespeare - A rare book to find these days, something I have been looking for and wanted for a long long long time. And before I let anyone else see the book, I found it, on page 676 (if I recall correctly) the line I try to live by "This above all - To Thine Ownself Be True"

So...What gifts were your favorite and was there a story behind it? I would love to read about your favorite 2007 SW gift and non-SW gift.

May the new year bring you all your hopes and dreams, and not, at least to get a bit closer to them!
