Star Wars still rules despite Family Guy icky parady
Boy, I never expected such a response to my blog of yesterday. I guess we all have a little too much time on our hands. I guess my biggest disappointment was that they didn't really "tell the story." When my kid was a kid (he's 30 now), he used to ask me to "tell him the story of Star Wars" or Empire or Jedi. This helped pass the time while we were stuck on the freeway. It also was an important bonding experience. Anyway, other than showing how cool animation could be (well, they were just copying the movie, after all), I thought the whole concept was lame. I never liked space balls either. Gross out. Sorry, I guess I'm a Star Wars purist.
Speaking of "telling the story" I also remember the part where C3PO is telling the saga to the Ewoks. Now that was creative.
Anyway, still a fan after all these years. I even host a Star Wars slumber party for some next generation Star Wars fans.
May the Force be With us all.
