Yoda's deleted scene to me is the only one that would have fit easily into the movie. Forget the the political mumbo jumbo, as it took away from Anakin. Forget the Shaak Ti death in the beginning, dragging that scene along. Here's my sole reason why and maybe you all will agree with me.
Lucas, in his commentary, stated he wanted to show how the father and children end up. Leia goes to Alderaan, Obi Wan takes Luke to Tatoonie, and Vader, along with the Emperor, start to oversee the Death Star. The only major player not seen is Yoda.
Though Lucas was focusing on the Star Wars First Family, Sidious and Obi Wan end up being included, leaving out poor Yoda. It would have been nice to see this one scene added in.
