I warned you already about spoilers SO, you have been forewarned, read at your own risk!

So here I am, one day after buying Sacrifice and I'm already writing the review. Well not so much of a review, but a fanboys admiration for a great writer and a thorough ranting of my abhorrence for Darth Caedus, aka Jacen Solo the new Dark Lord of the Sith!

What was the sacrifice? None other than Mara Jade Skywalker... Jacen's last remaining friend within his family. The one thing about this story that bothers me is how completely oblivious some of the people are. Meaning, how did Ben not know Jacen killed his Mom. He saw them dog fighting, saw him follow her down to the surface, and then once she was dead and Ben had found his body, Jacen magically knew where to find them even when Ben's own father could not. But, I guess they are still far into denial about what Jacen is capable of. At least the little witch is done, Lumiya. One last thing, why hadn't Mara told others on the council about Lumiya influencing Jacen, or even Ben once his mom was dead?

I hate Jacen...

Well anyway, on to Karen. Back a few months ago I wrote a blog talking about her and her rise to the top in the SW universe. I even said at that point that, although she was a newcomer, she deserved the right to kill off one of the main characters, to write their graceful demise. And she did with Mara and also the more minor character of Lumiya. Not only that, she got to give us Jacen's final transformation into Sith Lord and present his name. Those aren't honors to scoff at. I'd only say Denning, Zahn and Aaron are the other authors with that right. Plus, lets not forget, Karen is Mandalorian. She breathed life into the clones and the whole "race" and I myself couldn't thank her enough just for that feat.
