So, here I am. I caved. I won't deny it nor will I justify it in some long rambling. I bought the Firefly series.
Here's how it went down. I have been able to fend off the onslought of fandoming by fellow bloggers for the better part of a year now. But, I was walking through Target, minding my own business, when all of a sudden a box flies at my face. I was barely able to dodge it in time. I looked around to see who had thrown it, but no one was around. I looked down at the box...It was none other than Firefly! It lunged at me again, a malicious desire to enslave me to its fandom gleaming in the eyes of the cast that grace the cover. It pushed harder and harder to get to me. I tried to fight it back but targets low low prices were too much to handle. As I fell to the floor I bellowed, "I'll never fall for another Sci-Fi fantasy. Star Wars is my one and only love!" But alas, the whispered nagging of my fellow bloggers came rushing back into my head and I could fend the beast off no longer. It drug me to the cashier and I cried, "oh fell beast, do thy worst! I will watch thee, but will not love thee as I do my bequethed!"
And so it ended. 20 dollars poorer and 11 and some change hours of TV show richer, I drove away into the sunset to spend hours in front of my TV.
Well...the price and location was accurate, maybe not the other stuff. But you can never really tell. These new fangled sci-fi shows are tricksy.
My impression so far? It's good, no SW, but again nothing is. And what's up with the Chinese?
Anyway, it looks like a lot of the color has returned to the blogs, and if you have no Idea what I am talking about, well, you probably not alone. But one of my old blogs should do the trick.
