This blog is going to be short and sweet. This last Sunday I graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine. I received a B.S. in Genetics.

Now to the important part. Commencement for undergraduates is pretty much like a cattle call. You hand them your name card, they snap some pictures and off you go. The name cards have a space to write out your name phonetically. Well... my family, minus my grandmother, thought it would be funny if I changed my name to Han Solo or Luke Skywalker. I opted to compromise. I changed my middle name from Matthew to Chewbacca. I walked up, they read Chewbacca, and I bowed to reveal a large rebel alliance symbol on the top of my cap.

Good times, good times.
