The first step
Hi everybody,

welcome to my first blog, ever, anywhere, so please be kind.

Two recent blogs have inspired me to finally start blogging, as the topic kinda sums up what my blog is to be about. The two blogs in question are to be found here (I agree about the random droid) and here and I know I'm repeating my comments in yainiFett's blog.

On a family holiday I took my then 4 yr old son on the Star Tours ride in Disneyland Paris, he'd been too small when we were at the then MGM version in Florida.

In the square out front is an excellent "life size" X-wing and he absolutely believed that the whole experience was real and that we had actually been into space aboard the endor express, the looks of wonder and enjoyment and in parts fear that played across his face were fantastic. I'll never forget it.

My wife bought me the SW Vault for christmas and in the front is a CD of the audio track of the ride and when we listened to it again he remembered the whole thing so vividly that he's been pestering to go back.

There that wasn't so bad, in fact it was easier than I thought.

I'm so glad you decided to start blogging with us!! Yea!!! :D Welcome!

I love that ride! Sounds like it was a cool experience to ride it with a child who actually believed in it. That's just fantastic!

I really need to break out that CD from The Vault and listen to it, too. Lily, you're not the only one!

Hi everyone,

just a quick note to thank you very much for the welcome, it's much appreciated.

Zach, there are, if memory serves either 2 or 4 CD's (I'll check when I get home) just inside the front cover of the book when you slide it out of the box, in like little sleeves.
I don't know if this is exclusive to UK copies but as I say I'll have another look when I get home and hopefully be a little clearer and tell you what's on the others if you check back later.

Thanks again

I have...oh wait, I don't have the Vault! :_| ;)

I just read the part where you said that you'd been reading the blogs for a while before joining. I did that for a while too. I'd been reading since September of '05 and I finally joined in May of '06.
