The difficult second step

Hi to everyone,

I realise that the premise of this as a second blog may be a little thin, in fact it's practically transparent, but I'm not sure as to the proper etiquette.

Do I post in my own blogs comments or is that a little arrogant to assume that those who have been kind enough to take the time to leave a remark, go back and check in from time to time?

So with this in mind I would just like to say a big THANK YOU for the warm welcome I have received. It is particularly nice to see the names of some of those whose blogs I have enjoyed reading in the past.

I'm sure that there are others out there like me, who have so far only dipped a toe into this wider world and I would like to encourage them to join in and take the plunge. If not, continue reading as I promise to produce something of more substance next time.
I'm planning to watch ESB with my son tomorrow and I'm sure the little fella will ask me something for which I don't have an immediate answer.

If you are still reading this you may be wondering what the picture I've chosen has to do with this blog.

What you weren't?

Well I'll tell you anyway.

The answer is nothing.

Other than to say that I've never been much of a PC gamer preferring my PS2 (how good is battlefront?) and my wii (how good does TFU look?). But after reading so many good things I've finally gone out and got myself KOTOR, KOTOR II and Republic Commando.
I can't believe it's took me sooo long as I really enjoyed 'The Path of Destruction' and I love the clones and the life that Karen Traviss has breathed into them, if you like them too you may want to check out this blog. I too can't wait for ORDER 66.

Oh and one last thing, I need some help if you look up to where it says my name beneath my avatar, how do I change that?

You mean like respond to those who have responded to your blog? Sure, that's perfectly fine. I do it; even the illustrious Stooge does it.

date Posted: Apr 27, 2008 7:20 AM I'm afraid that phillipgenery has to stay that way. You can change the other part, Together We Can Rule the Galaxy as Father and Son, as much as you like. Phillipgenery is your permanent name for this whole Star Wars site, and it can't be changed without special permission by the administrators.

Definitely feel free to. Like you said, commenters don't always return to a blog they've already read, but often they'll go back even just to see further comments and reactions from other commenters, and thus will read your response to their comments while doing so. And if they've asked a question or made a thought-provoking statement, they could easily go back in hopes that you've responded.

Technically you cannot change your screen name, however if you appeal to the mods over in the feedback section you may have a case since your name is in your screen name. Just do not tell I said that.

Just to let you know that thanks to your help, those kindly mods are allowing me to change my screen name

But the one I wanted ie Darth_Dad is already in use

so now I've got to come up with another. Oh the pressure!! Any suggestions please feel free.

Oh and KaiYves, you don't have to wait for your kit you can just start your blog when you feel ready.

Do I post in my own blogs comments Absolutely! That's half the fun!

I'm glad they're letting you change your name---I had to do the same thing. I was new at this whole blogging bit two years ago, and my screen name had my real name. The powers-that-be were kind enough to let me change my name. Good luck with finding a new one.

I do have a suggestion....simply rearrange the letters in your name--it will be personal, yet original. Something like Darth Rygen <----or something to that effect. Have fun with it!
