Hi everyone,
Is it just me or does it seem to have been a slow week or so on the blogs, although as this is my only contribution in a couple of weeks, that might be a case of pot and kettle. Perhaps everyone has been too busy going to see the Indy movie (which is well worth going to see). I'm not going to blog about that as there are a few already and this
one and this
one say just about everything I would say. Minus the ZakMcKracken bits, I don't know who or what he is.
Any way the reason I'm writing is to ask a question, first picture the scene:
There's a brief lull in the hustle and bustle of your daily life, perhaps you've just packed the kids off to bed, maybe got in from school or work or just have a bit of time to kill and you don't have time to watch a full movie but you fancy a bit of SW none the less. What other than the blogs, do you reach for in this situation?
Do you have a favourite scene that you dip into, whether it be from a movie, comic, novel or game, or perhaps something else?
And if so, why?
The reason I ask is that I was in just this situation the other day. I had half an hour to waste so I thought I'd watch a bit of SW and I did what I always do, I reached up to where I keep my copy of ESB, my favourite SW movie, and I kept on going to where I keep ROTS. I always do
I just love the opening sequence, particularly the long tracking shot, from the moment the drums start to beat. As a stand alone scene it is fantastic, it just seems that no matter how many times I watch it there always seems to be something new. Now as I said ESB is my favourite movie, yeah I know I'm pretty Old Skool, what can I say, but given some free time it has to be ROTS.
Over to you.
