Hard Day's Night...
I log in and am somewhat surprised to find myself in Coronet City, on Corellia. Seems before I last logged out of the game, I purchased some resources that I needed to pick up from the Bazaar there. I can't remember having travelled to Coronet, but it saved some time, so I'm not too fazed.

I venture out onto the streets to start hunting for a Bazaar terminal. They're always hard to find- especially since Coronet is such a big city. After about 10 minutes of aimless wandering, I remember that Bazaar's are usually found near banking terminals. I open up my map, head for the Bank, and voila! A bazaar! I make a waypoint in my datapad- next time, I wont have to waste ten minutes!

I open up the terminal to pick up my resources- 6500 units of steel. Paid 20k credits for them- way too much. I also pick up an SR Pistol I bought ages ago- after having nerfed myself back down to Combat Level 15, I'm no longer certified to use it though, so I stick it back on the Bazaar and ask 10,000 credits for a sale.

I then realise my in-game e-mail is flashing. There's a fair bit there for me to sort through. KOALA has a few new guild members, which is always nice to see.

It also seems like half the KOALA guild is running for mayor in the next round of elections for Eucalyptus (Eucy, for short). I remind myself to head to the guild hall at some point and vote.

I've also sold a fair bit of stuff- 4 wind energy generators, 2 stim packs, 2 swoops and a speederbike. With all those goods being sold, it means I should have some more credits!

I check my inventory and receive my second surprise of the day- my bank balance is now up to 130,000 credits. Sweet!

I check whats happening in GuildChat (which is renamed to KOALA on my User Interface or UI). I notice Lorth is online, so I say Hi, and ask where he is, so I can drop off a couple of swoops I made for him earlier in the week.

He's on Tatooine, so I head back to the Coronet spaceport, jump in my ship, and head over there.

I /findfriend Lorth, only to find he's in the middle of no-where. I whip out my BARC speeder and start my journey. I make pretty good time, even if i do say so myself, with only a couple of beasts attacking me along the way. Since the BARC speeder is so fast, I ignore them (other than tryin a "/flip off" command, which doesn't work).

I reach Lorth finally, and we start the trade. He transfers 30k of credits to my bank account (a discounted rate for members of KOALA, of course- Swoops usually sell for around 20k each.. Im only asking 30k for 2), and also hands over a swag of resources- a couple of different types of Ore and some energy. Resources are like gold to crafters/artisans like me, so I repay his kindness by throwing in an extra swoop (mainly because my cash balance is too low to pay him- all my money is safe in the bank).

We chit-chat briefly before I head off, with every intention of heading to Lok and finding a Grind group to get my CL back up to snuff.

I get waylaid by itti'ug, another member of KOALA, who is looking to do a quest. I suggest doing the Lady Valarian quest, so we head off to the Lucky Despot Cantina in Mos Eisley to get started. Unfortunately, I don't have enough Lady Valarian faction points to start the quest, so we head to Mos Espa to take out some of Jabba the Hutt's goons, putting us in Lady Valarians good books.

4000 faction points later (and well and truly despised by Jabba the Hutt!), we head back to Mos Eisley and the Lucky Despot Cantina to begin the quest.

It starts fine for me, but itti'ug, azimoff et al can't get it started. I decide to head off and try my luck on my own, wishing the others well.

The worst part of the Lady Valarian quest is that it starts in Mos Eisley.

Mos Eisley in the movies is awesome. It;s fast, it's busy, it's full of life.

In SWG, It's the worst place to be in the game.

Mos Eisley, I think, it Jawa for "Lag City". Everyone starts off in the game in Mos Eisley, and alot of fanboys hang out there, simply BECAUSE it's Mos Eisley.

The game runs horribly for me there at the best of times, but today it's particularly bad. I voice my concerns in KOALA chat, and someone suggests I try alt-tab to minimise the game and then open the window again. It helps a fair bit, so I make a note for future reference.

So, I start my Lady Valarian Quest. It's all pretty easy. Go here, kill this guy, come back here to get paid, repeat. Nothing too taxing. However, I do take a bit of a beating when I'm attacked by three of Jabba's henchmen. I realise that Im no longer wearing any armour.

With no other Battle armour handy, I bit the bullet and Bio-Link my Katarn armour from a previous quest about a month ago. I could've sold that armour for a few million credits if it had not been bio-linked (which means no toher character in the game can use it)- but I'd rather use it than profit from it. After all, I had to work to get it in the first place.

Now fully suited up like a Revenge of the Sith Clone Trooper (and it looks pretty sweet), I'm much more effective in combat, being able to take alot of punishment while dishing out some of my own. Jabba's goons cower before me.

In the course of doing the missions, I encounter a few problems. One guy Im sent to kill disappears after I shoot him once. Just flat-out vanishes. I know my E-11 carbine isn't *that* powerful, so I fill out a bug ticket. Later on, a guy I'm sent to rescue starts shooting me- naturally, I retaliate. I don't need that kind of ungratefulness :oP Both missions are completed after I go back to the Lucky Despot, fail the mission, then start them again.

During my last mission, I not only kill a murderer who is on the loose (doing my part for the security of Mos Eisley and it's Lag), but I also kick the butt of a Mountain Squill- a level 25 mountain squill, which is a fair bit tougher than my puny little level 20 toon. Pleased with my armours performance, I decide to keep it on, at least until I find something as effective on the bazaar.

Possibly one or two missions away from working directly for Lady Valarian herself, and looking pretty bad-@$$ in my clone armour holding an E-11 blaster across my chest, I log off, well pleased with my afternoons efforts.
