Okay, so I'm finally updating my blog again. First time since September. Yes, I feel shame. (Not that much, though. I'm too busy to feel shame.)

For those of you who don't read my bi-weekly updates on the NEWS page of www.drewkarpyshyn.com, a lot has been happening in the past few weeks. (Seriously, you should read the web page. You can even go to the FAQ page and see a brand new picture of me. Don't worry - I'm wearing pants.)

Okay, back to all the big news. First, we've announced the title for the third Bane novel: Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil.
The novel hits shelves in December, and I'm writing the final few chapters right now. I know a lot of you are asking if Zannah kills Bane in this book (or if Bane kills Zannah... or if they both die... or if they both survive), and all I can say is that there will be blood. Lots of it. I'm not afraid of killing off charcters (in fact, I kind of like it... sometimes), so be warned!

I don't really know if I can say anything else about who might be appearing in the novel, but I'm going to throw a couple names out just for kicks: Cognus, Set Harth, Andeddu.
Wow, I probably said way too much. Maybe I should delete that. But for some reason I've been very in touch with my own personal dark side lately, so let's leave it for now and see if I get in trouble.

In other news, I'm happy to announce that my OTHER sci-fi franchise has released the first official trailer for the sequel. Click HERE to check it out.
(Now we'll see if I've violated some blog rule about linking to competing products. Really, I am just pushing my luck today.)

Finally, some REALLY big news... at least in my personal life. In 6 weeks I'm moving from my home near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Austin, Texas. I'm sick of winter - time to enjoy year round golf, drive to Spurs home games and buy a giant mansion for rock bottom prices. (Yes, I'm profitting from the misery of others by cashing in on the housing crisis... what can I say? You write three novels about the Sith and you just start doing these kinds of things.)

Incidentally, Austin is also home to the BioWare studio working on an MMO called Star Wars: The Old Republic. So I figure while I'm down there, I might as well pitch in.

Well, okay... I guess that's about it. I confess, it's been far too long since I last posted here. But I don't think you can deny that I came back with one hell of a post!
