Episode I Continued
I just logged on to the blog section when Whoa! I made the most popular blog entries -- cool!
OK, down to business.
This is the continued Episode I part of the marathon.

Some random thoughts:

A: I was able to see all 12 masters on the Jedi council during the scene where Qui-gon reports to the council about his run-in with a Sith. Plo Koon, Mace Windu, Yoda and Ki-Adi-Mundi all facing Qui Gon. Saesee Tiin, Yaddle, Even Piell and Oppo Rancisis on his left side and behind him. Adi Gallia, Yarael Poof, Eeth Koth and Depa Billaba behind him and to his right.

PMYKSYEOAYED for short. --- See if you can spot them all!

B: When Obi Wan was separated from Qui-gon, why did the ray shields activate so fast? Why did they activate at all? What governs their timing?

C: Was Darth Maul scared of facing two Jedi? He seemed to separate them on purpose! Sure, it could be the old "Divide and Conquer" theory or is there more to it?

D: Palpatine was at the cremation of Qui-gon looking sad. Act or truth? Was he acting to be sad for the show of everyone there or was he upset that Darth Maul had been killed? -- Or both?

Thanks for reading MTFBWY

Congrats!

B: Uhhhh...a timer?

C: I doubt he was scared.

D: Actually, he almost seemed to have a slight smile....or maybe I'm crazy. That's a definite possibility! ;) Yeah, he was probably acting sad about Qui-Gon for show. I don't think he'd be sad about DM dying. Annoyed, yes. Frustrated, definitely. Sad, nope. It doesn't seem Sith-ish to me.

as for the point of darth maul being scared......we was trained in multipal opponent combat thats why he egnited the second half of his saber instead of just the one(I,E, when he fought Qui-Gon on tatooine)

Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Congratulations! :D

B: Your guess is as good as mine.

C: I don't think DM was afraid in the least. He was a Sith; the Sith considered themselves superior to the Jedi; one or two, it made no difference to him.
There is something to be said for "divide and conquer". It works very well. (That's why military forces don't like to split their forces if at all possible.)

D: IMHO, act. I don't think Palpatine had any sad feelings about Qui-gon's passing. None in the least. As far as he was concerned, it was one less Jedi with whom to contend. (although I would imagine P was not pleased about DM's demise.)

B: THey were on an automatic timer.

C: Not scared. He was just taking care of Qui-Gon first. YOu know, the whole "If I kill the master the other will give up" theory. Of course, he didn't want to have to be watching his back all the time, either.

D: Act. Palps didn't care about Qui-Gon's death. Maul's, however...maybe. He knew he'd have to find a new apprentice eventually, anyway. It said later on in the books that he regretted how he had trained Maul. He had let his apprentice's anger build up and he had encouraged it. Maybe a little vengeful...

Wherever the Force may guide you, God will bless you.

RR out.

B: Perhaps Darth Maul used the Force unintentionally to activate and deactivate those ray shields.

C: Sith don't get scared ]:)

D: Palpatine's a Sith and a politician. He's able to mask his emotions well. I doubt we'll ever know what he really felt that day.
