Star Wars Marathon: Part 8
Observations from SW V:
This blog entry is mostly dedicated to the stuff that I noticed in the short but significant Wampa scene.

A: The clawed arm that swings at Luke is a right arm swinging from the left side (the "thumb" claw is facing down)!

B: When the Wampa grabs the Taun-taun, you can see the arm ends and the person operating the arm has on red or orange clothing. I saw this in wide-screen view. Not sure if you would see it in full-screen view. You have to play it in slow-mo to catch it.

C: How did the Wampa stick Luke to the celing? Could he have spit on Luke's feet and froze him to the celing? What was that stuff?

D: In the digitally enhanced version, the Wampa has black horns that are close to his head, black lips, and blood on his fur... the "original" Wampa that charges at Luke has white horns that are away from his head, grey lips, no blood, and weird cat ears. The digital Wampa is scary, while the original Wampa is more comical.

E: The arm that Luke chopped off looks as if it was chopped off near the elbow, but when you see the digital Wampa roaring, it looks as if his whole arm was removed!

F: Han's Taun-taun had intestines that looked a lot like a pile of white balloons. You can see as the light saber cuts the leather straps they catch on fire. No fire from the animal's fur though.

G: These early Episode V conversations with the spirit of Obi-wan are all one sided. Obi tells Luke things but Luke only listens or says "Ben...". Yoda seems to have two way conversations with Obi, but not Episode V Luke. Later, in Episode VI, I believe Obi-wan and Luke actually talk to each other.
