Let me start off by saying that I never copy other people's strategy. I have my own style that works well, but you may choose differently. Fine.



I honestly think that the Empire has a minor advantage over the Rebellion but they both are pretty evenly matched.

On maps with pirate forces it is best to build up your defenses while letting your enemy take losses removing the pirates.

Your space defenses should focus on the outer planets which are more likely to be attacked.

Accordingly, your ground bases should focus on key planets that you cannot afford to lose.

I recommend Turbo-laser towers on key planets. However, you should always have the core hero, IE:Mon-Mothma/Emperor Palpatine there so the price will be less.

Move the core hero around to planets that need defending so you can save credits.

When attacking, I recommend building as many of the turrets as possible so they will be there for defense later on.
