Hey guys, SOS here to blog about the many wonders and mysteries of the Starwars Universe. Now, Legacy Of The Force:
Tempest came out Nov.28th, and I've been done since last week. Like I did with
Bloodlines, I've decided to review characters, and the chapters of the book. Here we go my friends, are you ready!
Main Characters:
Jacen Solo: A Fallen Jedi Knight; drawn by his "love" for his daughter, and for his galaxy, he has decided to follow the Sith and even take a Sith name. His characters has become darker, and darker since we saw him again in Troy's
Dark Nest Trilogy.
Troy using many literature techniques to show Jacen. Having him spied on, having him think to himself, and having him talking; all great ways to portray this character. It really gives us a darker felling of him. I'll let you decide if he's just or not.
Ben Solo: A Jedi Padawan, not officially being trained by his cousin, Jacen Solo. Still being lied to, but believing, his "Master". He is still doesn't trust his mother, father, or there ways of training. He even goes as far as trying to arrest his own Uncle to see the GAG and his Master win.
Troy really changes this character from when we last see him; he's not has hateful towards his father. However, Troy really encompasses why and who he can not trust or like his father, but it's brought back by the way he ensures us that Luke and Mara know he must be taken away from Jacen.
Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker: Grandmaster and Jedi Masters of the New Jedi Order, they have been engulfed in a civil war for awhile now. Their son, Ben, has taken lead only from his cousin Jacen. Luke and Mara decided, after finding out Lumiya is connected to the GAG, Ben will not be a padawan to Jacen.
Troy finally gives us the old Mara, and half of the kick-butt attitude to Luke. He writes them both very well, drawing on both of their minds and feelings.
Chapters:
Troy has mid-length, pretty well connected, chapters. They flow well, and are easy to follow.
That's all for now. Remember to check out my Jacen Solo Blog later this month for an update on his fall.
