The Force really will be Unleashed...
Hello, hello, hello! :D

Time, yet again, for another blog entry by yours truly, SOS15. Now, I realize that my other blog entry came out earlier this week but since I probably won't have much time next week, I decided I'd give my thoughts on the topic at the end of the week instead of nothing at all.

So, as you all probably know by now, (at least if you've read my other blogs or have listened to EUCast) I am a die-hard Star Wars gamer and am really, really excited for this game. Recently, Lucasarts has begun silently getting ready for September 16; on their forums, which usually don't have many official Lucasarts personal members, an account dedicated to the Public Relations department has been made and is currently discussing the game with fans here.

I have talked to David Collins (Lead Audio and Proxy) as well as Adam Kahn (Public Relations for TFU) and they got me really, really excited for The Force Unleashed with all the good things they've had to say about it. However, nothing got me as excited for it has the latest Lucasarts Web-Documentary entitled "A New Chapter: The Story Of The Force Unleashed."

Now, this web-doc contains a few spoilers, so if you read beyond this statement, you will have a few spoilers for the game.

You have been warned!

There's still time!

So, the web-doc told us about the epic story of the game and how it will effect the Star Wars Galaxy as we know it. David Collins basically tells us the first level, which I find really cool. Apparently, you, as Darth Vader, fight the Jedi you've sent and kill him only to find a child who takes--yes, takes--your lightsaber. You then fast-forward to whenStarkiller is an adult and is given his first mission.

Now, I'm not going to spoil the entire thing, but the new cut-scenes make this a must-watch. The web-doc also gave us something we've never heard before: Juno Eclipse and The Secret Apprentice.

Both sound wonderful and my favorite part was:

Juno: Will I ever see you again?

The Secret Apprentice: Probably not, no....

The scene alone made it clear to me that it was well worth the wait for the game; the actors, the story, the everything of this game will be epic. We'll find out when it's released September 16, 2008, but if this web-doc was anything, it certainly will be. What did you all think of the web-doc? Do you think that TFU will be an awesome game?

Until next time, friends, SOS15-- Signing off

There are two things I dont like about it is that it has been pushed back for so long. The other is the name Starkiller. I just dont like it for some reason. Although I have read that it is just a codename for now.

I was very excited after checking out the web-doc. I feel the story is going to be really good. And everything we have seen of the game play looks amazing. I think the game play alone could make up for any issues with the story, but I am very intrigued with what we have learned up until this point.

My biggest question is will there be an opportunity for a sequel? If the game turns out to be as good as it looks it would be a real let down if it ended after one story.

That's correct; I e-mailed Adam Kahn at Lucasarts and that's what he told me.

Haden Blackman thinks so; if you look on TFU's Wookieepedia entry, it gives a quote from him from Celebration Europe and his take on continuing the story and characters.
