Over two hundred years ago, the Declaration of Independence was signed, and we became free from the hold of the Brits. It is on this day that many realize how much they've taken for granted over the years. We've got our freedom. Much of what we enjoy today, we would not have were the Brits still in control.

I love this day because for once, politicians drop their labels and realize that we are actually untied. Although difference in policy may separate us, we ultimately remember that we all love this country. Whether you're a Republican, Democrat, Constitution, Libertarian or a member of the Socialist Workers Party USA, you are reminded of the fact that most of us all want the common good for the country. This truly is an amazing country filled with amazing people, all of whom have their own ideas and abilities to show the world.
