We're Putting the Band Back Together...KOTOR style
Dark Horse Comics. The very heart of the EU in my opinion. There should be a pantheon erected in homage to the staff and comic creating gods and goddesses who have brought us the incredible stories in the Star Wars universe over the last many years.

Shame about the song writing skills though.

Randy Stradley, top overlord and part time lifestyle guru started a thread on the message boards on the DH website, to coincide with the release of their great new brilliant series Knights of the Old Republic.

Here's the link to what transpired: karaoke jedi

In short, we had entries from Mr Stradley, doing his bit for comedy with some neat new lyrics regarding Zayne to the tune of "Knights of the Round Table" from some Monty Python movie.

Then Marvolo added his rendition of "I Fought the Law" by The Clash and also the Dead Kennedy's.

Dark side adept Simon Cowell would have been impressed by those entries, but yours truly would have gotten all the votes (ok, I'm being biased) with my version of Queen's "We Will Rock You."

Here's how it went -

Young man, padawan, wanna be a Jedi-man
Think you're gonna be a big hero someday
You got ale on your face
You're a big disgrace
You better pay the manager to fix up his place
They wont, they wont, knight you
They wont, they wont, knight you

Young man, padawan, you'll have to use the Force, man
Think you're gonna catch that Gryph someday
You've got brew on your face
Gryph's on your case
He doesn't want to go back to your Jedi place
They dont, they dont, pay you
They dont, they dont, pay you

Padawan, poor man, not fighting Mandalorians
Think you're gonna join the war someday
You got panic on your face
Your Master's on your case
Think you'd better hightail it outta that place
They will, they will, chase you
They will, they will, chase you

Yes yes alright, if you want autographs you'll have to see my agent jkthunder (um, is that ok, jk?)

Ok, on with the show...fellow poster silver_mane added his two-penneth with more Holy Grail shenanigans, then Marvolo only went and returned with some more Pythonesque lyrics about Dantooine.

How cool is that?

Hey, know what?

It didn't even end there.

Guest vocalist and KoToR author, (yes the author! - craaaazy man, like far out!) John Jackson Miller, also known as Double-J when he's scratching on the whees of steel only piped in with Zayne's version of the Sid Vicious classic MY WAY!

Oh boy, my weak heart couldn't take it. Oh wait - my heart is ok, largely due to the fact that I drink lots of alcohol (which is good for your heart).

My liver and kidneys are knackered, but anyway.

Thought I'd share those wild and zany few days on the Dark Horse Message Boards way back in January. We could do it again, but just like the 2nd Woodstock festival - it would never be the same again. Just ask jkthunder.
