Thats no room. It's a space station!
For a break I thought I would share some photos of the bulk of my Star Wars collection. This should appeal to my fellow collectors and nostalgia buffs. I've been collecting since the first merchandise hit the shelves after ANH. It isn't organized well for lack of space. That and I'm just not that organized. It is also my computer room and painting studio, and yes it's a bit cramped but it's all I got for the moment. My wife hates "The Room" as she calls it. My daughter loves it however. I've got a few more figures not shown inside the vintage Vader case, but most in it are non-Star Wars related. The vehicles and playsets are all vintage and some are still in decent condition. The figures on the shelves are from the 90's forward. There are some non-Star Wars stuff on the shelves if you look. Like my 70's Mazinger figure (of the shogun warriors), robot from Lost in Space, Buck Rogers, etc. Maybe some day I'll actually build the models shown. Hey it could happen. I know its a lot of links here but I hope you enjoy! :)

Feel free to ask if you want to know about something in the pics.

Wow! I really enjoyed seeing your collection. It looks like it's time to open a museum, and I don't say that sarcastically. I would love a museum of "Star Wars" memorabilia and I think the day is coming.

I'm glad you enjoyed them. I think my wife would rather open a store.;) :(

That would be cool to see. Maybe Steve Sansweet will open up Rancho Obi-wan to the public someday.:D

Love the pictures, gold5...especially the one of you and your daughter! I saw your artwork there in "the room," too.

Very cool!

Thanks Ami! She's a daddy's girl. I didn't realize until looking at the uploaded pic how bad a shot of me it was. I look like a stoner, ; which I can assure everyone I'm not BTW.:)

Thanks mace and I can assure you I am no competition for anyone.:D

Yea, I swear that I used to have the starfighter at one time but I couldn't find it when I got everything out of my parents attic. So maybe I dreamed it. I also had Twiki figure right behind.

I love that landspeeder in view 3. Was that the POTF one? I do not own one, I have also seen the ones released in Australia that looked similar to that one.

My first star wars toy i bought was the landspeeder in 1978 with my allowance. That fabulous Kenner one.

I killed it playing with it and have never replaced it with another. i should haha.

Nice stuff by the way, very excellent!

I believe so. It came with Luke and the long rifle. I also have the vintage one. I lost the windshield and seat a long time ago. It is in the pic with Luke w/blast hemet next to obi-wan. It's under the slurpee cup. All of them were from when I was a kid (except the three or four vehicles like the Land sp. and the post 90's figs, and PT merch.). Thanks for taking a look. I talk about the DV autograph in my first blog (its in the favorites). Have a read if you like to hear the story. Again welcome aboard.

Hey there Gold5, sorry so late... Your collection and mine have been weighed and measured and mine is left sadly wanting. :_|

I loved seeing you and your girl though (daddy's girl no doubt). That is a great picture and she's a doll! Aren't younglings great? They love whatever you do! :D

Never too late!

It's not the size put the heart and memories put into it that count.;) Most of them aren't in too good a shape. After movie out, my dad put them in the attic. This is where they stayed for about ten years until I rescued them before moving to Colorado. Love to see what you've got.

Parenting has been more difficult than I ever imagined but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Thanks for the comments

You live in Colorado? So jealous! I'm a country girl who's settling for the surfer girl thing, although that rocks too. But, I would much rather live in the mountains, fish everyday and just enjoy nature! My home decor is this hunting/ fishing thing... friends think I'm so weird but what else is new!

Hubby took some pics of my stuff last night. I'll try to share them someday soon. :)

I actually live along the I-25 corridor so I only get to look at the mountains most of the time. I do live about 45 min from Rocky Mtn National Park. I wish I was up there now it's hot as heck today. My intent was to be able to go up in the Mtns. frequently and do paintings. Never really worked out.

Can't wait to see them.

Just stopping by to say hi - I have to say, that's one of the best groomed Banthas I've ever seen!

Beautiful baby girl and awesome collection!

I've been super busy all month, but have a little time to *try* and play catch up in blog-ville.

Shiny new avatar too :)
