Obi-Wan never told you about your father.
Happy New Year my fellow bloggers. I personally rang in the new year
asleep. If only the rest could go so smoothly. ;) I had a theory I
wanted to bat around with you but put it on hold for the moment.
Instead I'm going to put forth my next edition of my collection
blogs. My first one here featured R2-D2 & C-3P0. This one will
feature Darth Vader/Anakin.

I spent the morning of my day off on Monday (while also watching RotS
BTW) setting up and taking my photos for this and now I am ready to
get on with the hard part, writing the content and linking the
photos. If I could type faster or was a much better writer in general
I would probably post much more often than I do. But since neither
holds true....well there you go. :p So let's jump right into it shall
we. My camera is crappy so getting good closeup and depth of field is impossible.

This photo shows some of the Vader figures including my original
vintage figure with glued on head, The 90's PotF muscular Vader, a
couple of more recent ones, and also a candy filled Vader helmet from
Halloween.

This photo shows a Vader Ceramic mug a friend of my mom's made for me around '79. There is also a bagged & an opened BK RotS Vader.

This photo shows some Vader gloves I got cheap after Halloween last
year. Also it shows a BK DV tie fighter as well as a Hallmark DV tie
fighter ornament.

This photo shows my Vader Autograph as blogged in my first blog. Also
is the I am your Father Day set of Vader & Luke, a Vader SW musical
birthday card, & my vintage DV figure case.

This photo shows my complete set of DV Slurpee cups for 7-11, Darth
Tater Head, & a Vader Tie Fighter model yet to be built.

This photo is of my "Your Empire Needs You" shirt, a Vader pin, & the
coin from my RotS DVD.

Here we have an old Empire Strikes Back towel featuring Vader prominently.

Here you can see the three Vader ornaments, (this one being my fav) my new Vader Giant Pez, a magazine cover, & a RotJ Glass Burger King.

This shows an Anakin yellow jedi starfighter model and a vintage Kenner DV Tie Fighter. As well as the Target exclusive Lava Vader.

The photo shown here has an opened and unopened McQuarrie Vader and the recent Vader stomping on Obi-Wan's disembodied cloak. This ones helmet comes off to show Hayden's head.

This one is one of the only ones with a hand in a choking grip though it actually has the vest under the shoulder pads more like ESB & RotJ.

Here is the ESB meditation chamber Vader released a couple of years ago.

This is one of the first Darth Vader w/ removable helmet offered. I don't know if there was ever a figure in the vintage line here or in other countries that had come before but it is possible. I just remember being very excited about this one. A few years before they redid the OT and afterward started releasing the red carded PotF figures, I had a dream where I had gone into a toy store and to my surprise they had started selling Kenner Star Wars figures again. One of them being a Vader with removable helmet which in the dream I excitedly bought. It looked more like the original figures. I had no idea at the time that in just a few years they would start producing SW figures again. When they had released this after TPM I was probably lucky I didn't pee myself from excitement. I'm not saying I was precognizant but it you can be the judge. ;)

One of my favorite figures is a Spanish carded Dagobah Vader that I got online, where the mask peels off to show Luke's face. It is so cool. The cape and soe parts are also just slightly translucent. As far as I know this was never in the US line of figures.

Here is a photo of the older and more recent versions of the force lightening x-ray Vader.

The Anakin that converts to Darth Vader is here as well as the Sabastian Shaw headed removable Helmet Vader with plastic cape and metal saber hilt w/ removable blade. I always liked the way this one could be posed with his saber held high.

This shows some other figures and the FrankenVader on the operating table w/ removable parts. In the back toward the glass is the Vader which goes along with the Bespin Luke with detachable magnetic hand. It came with the walkway edge and has a button in back for Vader to make a slashing attack and cut the posts in half. The whole series around that time had some cool magnetic pieces to cut off. Like the Jango with detachable head. Sick and twisted but cool. It's too bad they abandoned those by the time they did Dukoo in the Sith line.

This photo shows the CIII Vader I bought online, as well as a regular size Pez.

Here is a PotF Sebastian Shaw Anakin, the comic packs Vader & rebel along with crispy critter Anakin which converted to pre Mustafar Anakin.
Here are some misc. Anakin figures. I actually have none from AotC. Probably because he annoyed me so.

That brings my Vader collection to a close. I have several odds and ends such as magazines and what not that I didn't include and will probably have to do on their own entry. Next I think I will feature the clones, stormtroopers, & Boba Fett. So until next time, May the Force Be With You!

Very nice collection and good job with the pictures :)

Just an FYI though, you are missing one of the Vader Hallmark ornaments with Anakin/Vader from last year's set. The one with him & Obi-Wan during the lightsaber duel :D

I collect a couple of characters exclusively (Emperor and Yoda), but wow, my collection is squat compared to yours! And I love the towel. Perfect for mopping up fanboy drool.

I collect a couple of characters exclusively

Nahh, nothing exclusive for me. I just seem to get every version that gets released of most of the figures when money and my wife allows. The towels a bit faded from the years of use. I rescued it from my parents house the last time I was home.

[b[HAVE to track down one of those Dagobah vaders

I got it at brians toys I believe. I know they are overpriced but since I don't do ebay it is my only choice these days. I am thinking of hanging up my ships to clear shelf space so I can do better on my displays. Was that the Escape from the Death Star Game below the Vader shelf?

my favorite DV is the vintage one

I wish mine was in better shape. I have tried to find a loose replacement but no luck. People have snatched up and holding on to the old ones these days.

I had no idea there were so many Vader figures

Many more than this I'm sure.

Hmmm . . . should we get the impression that you are a DV fan? ;)

Truly, great collection you've amassed. Impressive. Quite impressive.

Nah, I don't play favorites. Though I do like to get as many of the astromechs as I can when they are released. There are also some figs I pass over for others for one reason or another. But my SW obsession is for the most part equal opportunity.:D
