Did the GFFA have an independence day of some kind after the fall of the Empire?
Maybe it was called Celebration Day, or Endor Day, or Yub Nub Day, or the Creepy Guy is Dead Day. The nature of beings would suggest they would have had something to mark the birth of their new republic from ruins of tyranny. All beings like to mark endings and new beginnings.
The founding fathers of the U.S., on this day back in 1776 set in motion the spark that formed the "Grand Experiment" of democracy. Based on both the Greek and Native American Iroqouis' system of government, they created most of what we have in government today. A living idea of freedom for and of the people. Something that cannot be taken away from
within or without as long as we remain diligent.
We are not a perfect nation, but our shared dream is a noble one, and well worth the struggle.
As we go to celebrate this birth today all over the U.S.,
I wish all who live here a safe and happy July 4th today.
