37 years ago today I came into the world. So here I am another year older. Probably not all that much wiser and a lot less hair. (at least in the the areas it is supposed to be)

In a past blog I related the story of an R2D2 cake my mom made for me. She had made the dome out of the silver candy BB's which can actually still be purchased in some cake specialty shop I've found out. I had surely thought they had been banned or maybe I was just wishing on my part. When back home earlier in the summer I was able to locate a picture of it to share. It was 1978 as one can ascertain from my snazzy threads.

I also found some others. One being a not so good photo of the Yoda cake (from 1981) listed in the same past blog. Note the Star Wars dixie cups. I'm the one with the light blue shirt if you couldn't tell.

The other is a party from about 1980. I can't see the cake which was probably planets and an x-wing. You can also see the Star Wars napkins and cups in the photo. I'm wearing the Yoda t-shirt and the little brown haired girl sitting next to me was my girlfriend at the time if you could call it that.
