Ugh! Sorry 'bout not being on in FOREVER! 7th grade was going real slow, then it sped up unexpectedly and caught me really off guard! But I'm back and kickin some B1 Droid butt! [a little something I picked up from the cantina

] I've decided to make my "Comeback Blog", if you will indulge me

, to be one of my Emmy-Award-Winning "Perspective" blogs. YEAH!!!! Let's get the party started!
To start, notice how close Anakin and Obi-Wan were when they first met in TPM; not very close, yet understanding of each other. How 'bout in AOTC?; a true child-parent relationship. And ROTS?; close as brothers webbed together with love. Now compare Obi-Wan''s relationship throughout the movies with Palpatine's. HUGE difference, eh?
I understand why Obi-Wan was cautious, if not very nervous, at the start. But it seems like he never really got over Qui-Gon's death, even by AOTC. Think about it: Qui-Gon died in Obi-Wan's arms while whispering kind words about...
Anakin! Not the most favorable goodbye. Obi-Wan was upset with Anakin's presence all throughout the movie,
especially when he seemed closer to Qui-Gon than he was. After all, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon had known each other for twelve years, and now a sandy-haired, arrogant, slave boy from a desolate, desert, slimy planet in the Outer Rim is going to move in on his turf? I can just imagine Obi-Wan putting his hand on hip, raising a hand, and saying, "Stop! In The Name of Love! Before you break my heart!"
I think Obi-Wan's grudge never really healed because Obi-Wan wasn't willing to revisit those old memories and relieve him of his anger towards Anakin. And while Obi-Wan was busy trying to be a Master instead of a friend as well, old Palpy was
both, a quality that proved fruitful for him, and could have been fruitful for Obi-Wan had he tried it earlier in the saga.
In my perspective, Obi-Wan was still mad about so many things, most tied to Anakin in some way or another, so he failed to build a strong enough relationship with Anakin before Palpatine got there first and stronger. If Obi-Wan had been just as much an old-friend as Palpy was, than his opinion plus Padme's of staying loyal to the Order would have weighed out Palpatine's suggestions to rebel.
At the time Anakin needed a friend to help him in ROTS, and Obi-Wan failed to be that friend, so Anakin turned to Palaptine instead. I guess that's what Obi-Wan meant when he said, "I have failed, Anakin. I have failed you." on Mustafar.
Dedication: Obi-Wan and Anakin were a duo even more famous than Luminara and Barriss, or Mace and Depa. They won over many battles together, and grew on each other like moss [a strange analogy!

]. Together, they killed Count Dooku and survived the Battle of Geonosis.
