Much fear in you I sense old one

I always love reading what you other SW fans out in the great wide world have to say, so I thought I'd start my blog with one of my son's favorite questions: Why?

Why is it that the characters you totally and utterly dislike are the ones that seem to pop into your stream of consciousness more often than they should?
Tonight as I sit here at my keyboard trying to think of something profound to say about SW an irritating word keeps popping into my head. This is one of the famous words spoken by the very sophisticated Jar Jar Binks.
Can you guess that one word? Yes, if you selected the word 'Meesa' from Jar Jar's extensive vocabulary you win a pri... Oh, sorry I don't have any prizes, but you should feel very proud of yourself.

Tonight's feature question is...(drumroll, please)

Every day I travel to work by tram and every morning I pass a music instrument shop. In the shop window there's a sign that says "Mesa Boogie" which probably means something to the indigenous population.

But to me, I can't but help think about Jar Jar Binks. Every flipping morning.

I guess I should be thankful that the sign doesn't say "You are in my very soul, tormenting me"

Unfortunately, the "meesa back" phrase has popped out of my mouth more than once.

Interesting concept though - how the negative messages (if you will) stick in our minds as much, if not more, then the positive ones....

date Posted: Aug 16, 2007 12:44 PM ha ha ha that's too funny because yes I get a few that pops up or I use especially during business meetings it easies the tension a lot. Plus everyone that knows me also knows that I'm a Star Wars fan so they expect it.

Is that because they are Star Wars fans too, or do they just think that perhaps you are starting to lose your sanity, and, they had better play along?

everyone that knows me also knows that I'm a Star Wars fan so they expect it.
Oh yeah, okay, then, they know it's just an ice-breaker.

Who'd a thought that quoting Jar Jar would come in handy one day.
